Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniya of the ruling Hamas group has said he is willing to resign if this will end a Western aid boycott.

if he goes, a big victory to Israel right?! One Hamas member less. CHEER!!! /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
then again, doing so, Hamas will get more supporters still. OH NOES!!! /sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />
so what is it? Yay or Nay?

Makes no differance who is in charge if your organization believes the destruction of isrial is one of its main objectives.

It's about time for Israel to start kicking some ass again, since they are on our tab...after all.lol

From the article:
Hamas insists it will never join a government that recognises the State of Israel.
Now, I'm not the most internationally astute person on the site, unless you're talking about burds, but doesn't that essentially mean that his resignation is worthless..?

bm has not been keeping track of the news over the last few months. tststs.
here's some figures on Palestinian casualties since June:
Total: 247 fatalities
155 civilian deaths
57 deaths of children
996 wounded, including 337 children (34%)
Source: Physicians for Human Rights (28 June to 27 Oct)
Seems like they are kicking some ass... mostly civilian ass. It is about time maybe the Palestinians react again. The Israeli's should not even be angry then; after all, don't they believe in an eye for an eye?
btw, what's that about "being on our tab"?
@aj: well. like I said "one less". Can't have everything at once, can you? It is not about Hamas recognizing Israel, it is about one guy giving up his position here.

his gesture is futile, as it is inherently meaningless.
he is a faceless representative of an intolerable sentiment that does not change with his passing.
thanks for the meaningless gesture... which is as empty as the future of the people you serve unless real change is made.
