This is part of the initiative continuing through "Games for windows." Basically, this doohicky plugs into your pc through usb, and allows you to use (up to four) xbox 360 controllers to play games on your pc! You can already do it with a wired 360 controller, but it is not always "featured" in the game.

but in the future, microsoft will require pc games running on vista to support wireless microsoft gaming peripheries like the 360 controller.

As it is, this is a great device for twenty bucks! especially for the japanese school girls who carry their 360 controllers around with them in their backpack.

Man, I had a PS2/1 to USB controller connector and it was the fucking shit..! As I have never played an xbox extensively, the PS2 controller is what feels good and natural in my hand, so I'm used to it...Awesome tho, of M$ to do this...

I will be honest, the ps2 controller was alot more natural to me, for the first month. Hell, i still have my ps2 and wireless controllers, and will whoop anyone here on Soul Calibur 3.

But the 360 controller is REALLY comfortable. man, even my girl likes it, and she is not a console gamer. she usually likes handhelds, but the amazing titles on the 360 are winning her over. Specifically Viva Pinata, which is a bizarre and addicting game about breeding farming and accesorizing pinata foodchains (grow worms to feed birds to breed birds to buy trees,.. etc all the way up to dragons and unicorns, we hear.) all in a garden you micromanage.

It is almost an insult to my manhood to tell you how much we have played this game together in the last two weeks. and we haven't even gone online to visit other people's gardens or send them our little animals. but the couch is big enough for two, and both controllers can work on the same garden. so, it's *together* time.

and soon I am set to FINALLY get my own Nintendo Wii (gave my preoorder up to a woman looking for one for her kids, mainly because I have complete entertainement with my 360 right now!)

and there are some people who actually have made a wii-mote into a fully functional windows user input device. This is so IMPRESSIVE I am going to get one for presentations because it will be a conversation piece for some after meeting chat! besides, it doesn't call for sweeping motions, you "tilt it on a x/y axis" potentially much neater for projection screens hooked up to laptops.
