I heard this on the radio yesterday on my way to run a few errands yesterday and thought that it was a joke...Apparently, it is not...

There is a bill being presented before my state's legislature that would impose a mandatory castration on any sex offenders...

Yes, if you commit a sex crime, you will loose your balls...

Proposed are two methods, a physical removal and a chemical one...

Now, I'm not a anatomy major...But I know if you castrate a horse, its supposed to make him less...Rowdy...I was not aware that this was true in humans...

Well it would make him unable to be a sex offender again though. Man, I've been thinking more and more that Restorative Justice Model is the way to go and that something like this isn't. Stats have shown that stuff like this really isn't a deterant to crime.

So when is Mississippi going to join the rest of the civilized world? o_0
