I need help with our league again, and organizing our data in an excel sheet than I can update every week...

We are doing a points tourney...What I want to do is track the data by teams, points awarded in matches, points overall, etc...Maybe I need to do multiple books, but I thought that I would ask before I did that, as I know you're a wizard when it comes to Excel...

This is the information that needs to be present...The Team, the week, the 2 matchups, and the points awarded to each babe in both...Here are a list of the first matches to get set up:

QUOTEWeek 1 Matches

Match #1

Jana Cova (1337) vs Jaime Hammer (BLB)

Match #2

Stormy Daniels (Buxotic) vs Carli Banks (RJL)

Match #3

Adriana Malkova (iMNO) vs Chloe Sweet (emanon)

Match #4

Tiffany Fallon (4ever) vs Sunny Leone (BZA)

Match #5

Amy Sue Cooper (Pete) vs Daniela Gil

Match #6

Lauren Michelle Hill (RJL) vs Melissa Puente (emanon)

Match #7

Tera Patrick (BZA) vs Sophia Santi (1337)

Match #8

Zdenka Podkapova (iMNO) vs Alison Angel (BLB)

Match #9

Keeley Hazell (Buxotic) vs Jessica Barton (Pete)

Match #10

Amanda Paige (4ever) vs Michelle Anderson (Jammers)

The object of these points matches is...Well points...Its the team more so than the girl that needs to be tracked, but it would be nice to be able to track those as well...For instance, if you wanted to know which girl was the leading point getter in Week 4, you could see it, as well as see which team got the most points in Week 1, etc...

If you don't have time believe me, I understand, and will just do separate books for the various data...

I can do this, IF you can repost this entire request with work safe content. (Team 1, Team 2, Player 2, Player 3, etc.)

I will even create you a page where you can fill in those values with whom ever or what ever you want.

OK, here is what I have so far, it includes all the data and results from Week 1, and the matches for Week 2...It is probably poorly structured in your eyes, but what needs to be there is there...

Man, I need to recruit some new players for Team Pete and make a few exchanges.

Am I allowed to do that, and will it be updated in the new spreadsheet?

I am also posting here as I'm interested to see how the spreadsheet is organised, as I am planning
some spreadsheets of my own....

Yes Pete, all the teams will be represented fully in this...

With the downtime I have from my move with being online, I am revising this to make it much better...

I just made a table in Word to store all my data. I have several Word files, too. One for stats, one for the schedule, and one for the power rankings. I keep detailed stats, too. And at the end of each season I save the files to a disk, and then print them off, that way I have three copies (Comp, disk, paper).

I never really thought of using Excel. It's not a program I use often, but I'm in Word all the time, so.... lol

Ideally, you would want a database.. but a spreadsheet works just fine for a low volume.

By the way, AYHJA, I need them saved to open with excel 2003.

xlsx files are nt supported, and I can't convert them back, because I don't have 2007.

so, save in 2003 format, and resend.

thanks.

Ahh shit sorry...I'll resend it now...

Kramer, after you see this, you might want to consider switching over...I'm pretty sure this could be streamed lined to work w/a DB relatively easily...
