There's something wrong with my computer because for some reason I can't watch certain videos, like the one in this link...
CBC
I also can't watch the videos on CNN's website. Nothing really happens, they just don't load. I'm stuck looking at a black screen. I press the play button but still nothing happens.
I first noticed it after my hard drive was replace... I'm wondering if maybe I forgot to re-download a javascript or something stupid like that.
I used to be able to watch these videos all the time...

Most of those vids are .wmv's, and will only play in IE Tab (an Internet Explorer add on for firefox) for me...Usually, if I go to a site, and see it asking for a plug in, then the media isn't Firefox friendly...
There is probably a way to view them in Firefox with ease, but using IE tab is enough for me, as I don't come across them often...You head to the site in FF, and if it don't load, you just click a little icon and it switches to IE...

Maybe it's Canadian censorship..? lol

Why would Canada censor itself? The CBC is Canadian... Canadian Broadcasting Corporation...

Kramer, regardless of AYHJA's obsession with firefox, which is tangling between a sick love and a manic schizofrenic affection, what browser are you using to see that video ?
What version of Windows Media Player do you have installed ?
Many times, browsers like Opera or Firefox will not load these videos because of lack of a plugin (or a de-activated plugin).
The only reason I can think on the top of my head for IE not loading a video is because of your security settings....
Look into it a bit more and -if possible- give a little bit more of feedback /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

WMP11 is incompatible IIRC..
Either use the bastardly IE, or try RealPlayer or something..
