I use limewire to download music and stuff and recently i downloaded two mpg files but these files wont play or anything. I tried to delete them but I cant. Upon right click they dont have the delete option.
Tried shift delete as well. It doesnt work. I tried using tune up shredder but even that doesnt work. Anyone has any suggestions?

Can you rename them? What version of Windows are you running?
Look at the properties tag and see if they are checked read-only.
Another thing to try is temporarily move everything else out of the directory they are in, delete the directory and then recreate it.
If they move, you can drag and drop em in the trash.
Let us know what happens.

Hit up the workshop and try that unlocker program...
Once you install it, right click on the file, and go to unlock...It should get rid of it for you...

Did you make sure Limewire wasn't running at all before attempting to delete the files?

could also boot into safe mode and delete that way perhaps.
a little more complex, but guaranteed to work: boot from a knoppix live cdrom (with ntfs write support if needed) and delete that way
can't believe I beat WAY to a linux reference! w00t

Well I deleted the the files because I wasnt too sure if I wanted the files on my system.
The unlocker program didnt help. When right clicked on the file it didnt even have that option. So i just deleted the directory and then brought everything back that i wanted using tune up.
Kinda annoying because they were all music files and now i realise that some of them are actually mixed with two songs in one or are really messed up.
Hence im deleting music files that cant play and I have to do up my itunes so the files deleted do not show up anymore.

Some files play dodgy like that but Safe Mode booting seems to do the trick to delete them.
The thing I've found is particularly with media files that have been incompletely downloaded - these ones often end up getting locked by XP. I suspect it may have something to do with XP trying to form a preview but it can't b/c the file is incomplete.
