I just read a story about a hotel worker in FL that was charged w/the rape of an 11 year old girl...
I am convinced that there are some people who simply do not deserve to have a shot at life...And this is clearly one of those people...I am not a saint, nor do I know one, but if you're fucking dead deer, raping little girls...You just don't need to be around or in society, period...
So, I got to thinking...Regardless of circumstance, and given the opportunity...Would you watch a public execution..?

Yes I would! In a fucking heartbeat....BUT, I wouldn't want it to be some made for TV event where you have to sit through a two hour work up of interviews with the family members and people who lived next to the killer.....you know the typical bullshit.
I'd rather have it real simple.....after the guilty verdict is handed down, the convicted killer is drug outside into the parking lot in front of the courthouse where he is hit between the eyes with a three pound sledge hammer so that when he hits the ground the camera can catch him quivering......that my friends would leave a lasting impression on any potential child molesters or killers.

Most likely I would as long as I agree with the verdict. Most cases aren't questionable, but a few are.

Only if I was personally involved and needed closure. Actually I think people like that should die completely alone and shunned - nobody should care that they have shuffled off this mortal coil. There death should have no more meaning than killing a rat that is spreading disease or culling diseased cattle from the herd.

Damn Rim, I love that idea...
Find a dude bigger the Michael Clark Duncan, wearing a throwback executioners hood...The absolute biggest, strongest man you can imagine...That's the last thing this guy would see, a big ass hunk of impossibly hard metal landing solidly in the middle of his dome...
I personally think that we need to get back to more inhumane punishments for these kinds of people...
But I agree, not all cases are as clear cut as some...But I can't believe that there would be a cry of sympathy for a monster...It baffles me...
Take for instance A.L. Davis...He caught some bad joules in 1999, via Old Sparky...
http://www.ccadp.org/tinydavis.htm
They were saying...He was tortured...His execution was botched horribly, and I don't think it was unintentional...
That man killed a woman 3 months pregnant, and didn't just beat her, he beat her beyond recognition with a .357...He also shot her 9 year old daughter in the face with that same gun, and her 5 year old daughter in the back as she was trying to run away, and then beat her afterwards...Oh, and the little 9 year old girl was a day shy of her 10th birthday, and had her hands tied behind her back...
How do you muster sympathy for that..?

I don't think I could watch a public execution like that. I'm all for the death penalty and letting them have it, but I don't think I could watch it
"If there were no eternal consciousness in a man, if at the bottom of everything there were only a wild ferment, a power that twisting in dark passions produced everything great or inconsequential; if an unfathomable insatiable emptiness lay hid beneath everything, what would life be but despair?"

OMFG....that was horrible....and I'm talking about what that guy did....Shit I would def watch a dude like that burn to death....
I would watch one fo sho....cause I'm not gonna lie about my guilty pleasures....but like was said above....only if I definitely thought he was guilty and his crime deserved the punishment.

I don't wanna sound premadonna or anything, but who cares...really...someone starves to death every 4 seconds, i dont have enough motivation in me to be more than indifferent to a topic like this...i could go either way...

In a case like Davis' I think Rimfire is closer, but I would rather see the family swing lots of small hammers so it takes a long time or a good old stoning. Let them bean the F'er in the head with a few hundred rocks until he's dead. Put it on cable with no commercials. That would be good for the country.
