they should put a 3/4 red ring of death on these failing batteries.

that would be an image a lot of people have come to know.

what the hell does this have to do with the xbox 360 or any console at that? I own a laptop too, and a sony battery almost cooked my data. i'm still sore about that.

what are you mad at microsoft for again?

not mad a microsoft at all.

they created a good machine with their 360... it could have been engineered better, but they did give a good gamer's machine - if it lives long enough... a shame they turn out to be milking the customer with all the "optionals" you pay premium (or should i say "elite"?!) for. Yet, even THAT I am not holding against them, since like all companies they are in it for the money!

i am mad at all the - and sometimes indeservedly so - negative press about sony / ps3. ps3 ALSO is a great gamer's machine AND a great all-around home entertainment system for a great price. a bargain really.

again sony - and kutaragi - went to great great lengths to bring something worth its money (or do you want to discuss that again) to us, to the customers and all they get is crap from 360 fanboys*.

and by the way. I have numerous laptops - i gave some of them to friends and family. most of them VAIO's. NO problems whatsoever. failure rate on Sony batteries is FAR FAR FAR lower than failure rates on - for example - xbox 360... what would be the percentages?

* damn. must be the first time i actually used that word...
