50 Cent: This might be a dangerous thing to say publicly!

Maybe or maybe not, you guys have heard that the new 50 Cent LP entitled "Curtis" is dropping on September 11th. Kanye West's new album, entitled "Graduation" is coming out on that same date too and there have been tight rumors addressing/surrounding who will sell more records...
Well, most of the media sources predict Kanye West to sell more considering that 50 Cent has released 5 damn underwhelming singles off his sophomore before its official release date namely: Straight to the Bank, Amusement Park, AYO Technology, I Get Money, and the recently leaked Follow My Lead...ALL of these singles have charted extremely poorly/not charted at all...
At this moment, Kanye's first official single (second in total) single off his album, namely "Stronger", is currently peaked at the position of number 6 on the Hot 100...
Ah well guys, this is pretty funny to me and exciting at the same time because of what 50 said to the press...this dude has bet his solo career on the condition that if Kanye West sells more records than him on that day, he will quit rapping, ah well, read the full story, link below:

Well, guys, comment, what do you think?!? Who's gonna sell more records based on facts on the ground now?

i dunno Habib. Fiddy seems to have got quite a built-in audience now regardless of how good the product is.
Kanye on on the other hand has the potential for career burnout (@ least as a recording artist).
he might be next on the list to fall victim to the "Grammy Curse". a list as funny as it is sad:Coolio,MC Hammer,The Fugees etc..
almost every rapper who has won a grammy seems to go on a downward career trajectory within 3 years of the win.
West's stuff is startin to be more of the same ol' same ol'. sped-up vocals & familiar samples. his production for others is still top notch though. his collab with Common on Finding Forever being the most recent example.
at this point,i suppose time & talent will tell..

I say screw them all. Maybe 50 and Kanye have a thing going together that 50 thinks saying that will make Kanye sell more albums. lol Everything that everyone does now-a-days is just a ploy for some attention.

I agree g00b...Every time Fiddy releases an album there's some shit, so this is no different...He says that he will retire if Kanye sells more records, but really, it don't matter...50 Cent has done a fine job of making himself a product and not just a rapper...There are dudes that have been in the game for decades that haven't figured that shit out yet...

I don't think 50 even cares about selling records...And while I like Kanye's beats and rhymes, I find him and his behavior annoying as fuck at times...Neither one of these guys really need to be selling records, both can make stacks doing other things...

well who do you guys think will sell more seriously? and do you think Fiddy was just trying to get attention or did he really mean he will quit his career? lol I know for sure that Fiddy has done many beefs just for the sake of attention...like the one with Nas

a'ight then let's wait and see...
but seriously though 50's singles off this album have been so underwhelming, who has heard the "Follow My Lead" track, it doesn't even sound like a single! Grr, sounded like he was half-asleep while rapping that track...pff, why am I even calling it rap...he was talking...
