Someone on another site I am on brought this one up the other day...
Why did God create the world? How can an infinite, unchanging Being get bored, etc.? What made Him decide to do it?
More importantly though, why did He pick the time when He did to do so?
This one got me baffled...
Picture That...

When I've thought about that question two things come to mind...One, is that just because God is all powerful, I don't think that technically speaking, he's all that different from us, you know what I mean..? If we were able to see God, if he chose to take a form, I don't think that it would be something we wouldn't recognize...
There are several different theories about this, one that I've heard is that in a constant state of perfection, God is simultaneously everything, and nothing...In essence, 0...More or less, that God is a collective intelligence of all things, and chose to become a system, that in its totality includes the universe, heaven, hell, and all of that...
In my mind, that is why we have a system based on duality, you see...That would explain why there is day, and why there is night, while there is good, and why there is evil...The balance must be set, however the equation is formulated, it must and does, always equal to zero...

Sry dawg, but I do not see how that answers why He created the world and why He chose to do it when He did..

Deeje baby...
There is only one thing in this world...No, this UNIVERSE, that is constant, and that is certain beyond any and all doubt...If you know what it is, which is more obvious than not, then that's the answer to your question...

Bud...The only constant in this whole universe...
Is change....

So therefore God is not unchanging? But if so, why did He choose when He did to make the earth we live on?

DeEje baby...
IMO, the answer to all questions, especially those like this one, isn't something long, and drawn out, and complicated...I refuse to believe that we are the creations of an entity that is so very much unlike us...I think you're digging too hard...
If "God" existed as nothing...Zero...And the only certain constant in this universe is change, why NOT make the universe..? I think that's a harder question to answer...Again, as things change, "God" remains the same, as the equation will remain zero...
The entity we are referring to as God, is probably no more capable of being "still" as you are sitting in a room, doing nothing, not even blinking, not even breathing, doing nothing that requires change...Which means what..? You're dead, and void of all activity...
Our God is alive buddy, and that's why we're here...Just my thoughts...

alright, but then any ideas on WHY he chose when he did? Out of an infinite set of time, He picked the exact moment He did. Why?
