Jessica Biel is in talks to play Wonder Woman in Warner Bros.' all-star superhero film Justice League of America, reports Variety.

The potential deal marks the first piece of casting to emerge from the DC Comics-based ensemble project, which is expected to feature Superman, Batman, the Flash and Aquaman in addition to Wonder Woman.

George Miller (Happy Feet) will direct the big screen adaptation. Kieran and Michele Mulroney wrote the script.

Moviehole is reporting that Aussie actress Victoria Hill auditioned for the role of Wonder Woman in Warner Bros. big screen Justice League of America adaptation:

The starlet, currently seen in the Village Roadshow release "December Boys," has tested for the role of Wonder Woman.

Now that doesn't mean she's in the running or a contender – you'd have to be a fly on the wall in the casting director's office to get wind of how she went, obviously – but she did read for the Amazonian princess.

Routh and Bale are out, the only reason that I'd even remotely be interested in seeing this is if Welling is Superman...

Period...

personally i think it's good that those 2 passed on this shit. they'd have been relegated to the background so that the film could push up the other character's profiles so they could get their own spin-off franchise. i see the potential for another Blade:Trinity disaster here. Warners were stupid to pass up on doing Joss Whedon's script just because it began in WWII. that guy knows how to write strong female leads (Buffy,Serenity/Firefly & Alien Resurrection. and fuck,Wondy is an amazon who ages well. it'd be easy to transplant the chick to present day (which Whedon did anyway in the last quarter of his script). the other thing that pisses me off is that now WB are pushing JL,Singer's Man Of Steel follow-up to Returns gets pushed back another year. that blows!

Ryan Reynolds has long been the rumored front runner to play the popular DC Comics superhero The Flash in a big screen adaptation. But the project quickly fell to the wayside. Reynolds now tells MTV that he might put on the red tights for the Justice League of America movie:“‘The Flash’ isn’t dead at all. There’s talk of it being a JLA movie, the Justice League having them all together. And then there’s other talk of doing a ‘Flash’ movie with [director] Shawn Levy,” Reynolds told MTV. “[it] might, yeah. I don’t really know how much I’m allowed to talk about that stuff. But I’m sure they’ll figure out something. It’s no secret that they have a JLA script and it’s a project that’s in development – the contents of which, who knows. We’ll see. I’d love to see a full on Justice League movie done, the scope of which is just enormous. I think it’s something they canpull off.”

Entertainment Weekly has gotten their hands on some Justice League Script details. They have confirmed that all seven original members of the Justice League are featured (Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, the Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman, and the Martian Manhunter). But this is something we’ve already known thanks to a previous leak report. But here is the real shocker, EW claims that the movie is “an origins story about the superhero conglomerate” while our previous report led me to believe that the story began years after the JLA had already formed.

The plot revolves around villainous businessman Maxwell Lord and involves cyborgs called OMACs (One-Man Army Corps), who can take over humans and turn them into killing machines. There are epic battles between Superman and Batman, as well as Superman and Wonder Woman.

The film will feature Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, a John Stewart version of Green Lantern 9not Hal Jordan), The Flash and Martian Manhunter. Where did Aquaman go? I thought he was the sole reason for all the motion capture 3D animation talk a while back? And he’s certainly a better character than Martian Manhunter. The Flash will supposedly have a crush on Wonder Woman (ugh), but who wouldn’t. He is also the youngest member of the super-group. Wonder Woman acts as defacto humanitarian (ala Angelina Jolie) for the group. Batman has a device called “Redeye” which allows him to spy on other league members so that if a JLA that goes rogue or becomes a villain. But the main villain in the film (unnamed at this point) gains control of the Redeye device, and uses it against the JLA and the human race. And at some point Batman goes bad, whatever that means. So far I’m really not digging this plot, but I do like that the film is not being used as a group origin/team-up story.

The Hollywood Reporter says that a slew of young actors are testing for the roles of Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Aquaman, Green Lantern and the Martian Manhunter in George Miller's big screen Justice League adaptation. The director is seeing 35-40 actors for roles in the Warner Bros. comic book movie from Sunday through Monday.

Included in the casting sessions are: Adam Brody ("The O.C."), Joseph Cross (Running With Scissors), D.J. Cotrona ("Windfall"), Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Grindhouse), Michael Angarano (Sky High), Teresa Palmer (The Grudge 2), Max Thieriot (Jumper) and rapper Common.

The trade adds that the cast of NBC's "Friday Night Lights" is well-represented as well, with Minka Kelly, Adrianne Palicki and Scott Porter also among those testing for parts.

Miller is reportedly looking for the young actors to grow into their roles over the course of several movies. The director is due to present his findings to the studio midweek.
