It's plain and simple, who do you think should get the NBA's MVP award?
I personally think that Kobe should get it for the following reasons...
1. He's playing in the western conference...
2. His team has still been running strong even though Bynum and Gasol been out
3. Those Impressive stats

This should be Kobe's second consecutive award if you ask me...You forgot to mention that he's playing hurt...

MVP goes to Chris Paul. He has less of a support staff and the Hornets are #1 in the West. He's the only reason they are there.

Man, what's up w/people wanting to give the award to point guards for doing what point guards are supposed to do..? CDR...Man, Kobe just got help this year, he didn't have a squad last season...And he's doing his usual numbers...

Well I'd say Garnett but then I might be a bit partial. It really is a tough year to pick because Paul, Bryant, KG, and King James are really playing out of there minds.

Garnett doesn't deserve it because he also has Pierce and Ray Allen.
Come on A, what's your problem with Chris Paul? His team is shit yet they are better than the Lakers! CP is the only reason the Hornets are even in the playoffs. Sure, a PG is suppose to lead a team, but be the team? No way man...that's excellence

Aside from assists, Kobe leads handily in all categories...Playing with a better supporting cast, Kobe is still having a Kobe season...Tyson Chandler, Mo Peterson, Bonzi Wells...About as good a batch of side kicks as you can have Homez, their team isn't that shitty...They play well, and have been well coached...If you have the pieces in place in a system, its as good as any...
CP makes that thing go, no doubt...But Kobe is just night in, night out...Guarding the best player on the floor, playing 3 spots on the floor...Quite well might I add, and doing it hurt...I mean, if he can't win MVP doing those things, what more must he do..?

Spoken like a true Knicks fan. :p I agree with Uber the cast around CP is better than people give them credit for. Each of the guys mentioned was supposed to be a great player when coming into the League they weren't until Paul was added to the mix so I'll give you that. But by your definition of Garnett having Pierce and Allen with him then it also excludes him. If you're looking at a guy who really just puts the entire team on his back with scraps of talent around him then it has to be between Kobe and LeBron.

Chris Paul also has David West.....Who? 20pts. 9rebs.
Well I didn't know until a few weeks ago when I saw him drop 40 on someone...
But Kobe been doing his thing with an injured lineup no matter how good they are...
If anyone actually pay attention to Lebron, especially his last game against the Magics, you would see that he doesn't play defense..... To separate them a little bit more, he's in the east where the teams that gets into the playoffs are at .500 or worst...
Kobe has also been averaging 30 points a game since he injured his pinky finger of his shooting hand.... It doesn't get much more impressive than that...

Yeah I agree with what you're sayin Missi but LeBron still has to play against the two arguably best two teams in the league in Detroit and Boston. And he usually puts up monster efforts against those guys. Plus what the guy did last year (yeah I know last year don't count) to get his extremely weak Cavs team to the Finals over a powerful Detroit team still amazes me.
