first of all, they never call themselves the Moriah, which is a Hebrew Mountain, and this site consists mainly of material from Robert Anton Wilson and Robert Shea's FICTIONAL Illuminatus trilogy, and subsequent works. These were created in the spirit of the Berkely California druggie days, and were largely an experiment in using enginerred paranoia as a means of consciousness development under the influence of Psychodelics,.. made popular by some (connections) of mine in a place called Spraul House (i.e. Hell House) one of the first co-ed dorms at the University.

The idea is to basically "create" a train of though that causes a worldview that will nurture the natural paranoia that comes with drug use to transcend the limitation of a mundane worldview that is forced upon you. I have extensive experience with many "dioscordians", and have founding membership in an internationally successful guil of chaos magicians.

At most, Robert Anton Wilson's work is a source of constant inner amusement to those in Western magick Circle, and Fraternal organizations, and most of us know he and Shea created it because they were refused membership into an Order that I am welcomed into!

Factually:
Illuminati is a name of a number of Bavarian men who sought to try and control the European power after the division of the Holy Roman Empire.
They were influential in the organization of quite a few organizations, most of which have failed, or at least fallen into such obscurity that their members have no idea what the significane of their rituals are.

Robert Anton Wilson chose the name Illuminati, as a commentary of the manner in which his unmet expectations for Initation led him to have a certain acute *and perhaps inaccurate* perception of the Order's shortcomings.

Illuminati means "those Of the light", and was a reference to those that risked life and death to keep the seven branched candlestick of Solomons' temple lit, when the temple was being destroyed. Adam Weishaupt (who founded the Illuminati, as it was unoffically known.) held this was the secret of the Lamp of invisible Light; that they had stolen away with the actual physical candlestick! (which he failed to find)

This work is all part of the Hakim Bey's (Anton wilson's son; known by discordians as "Malaclypse the Younger") work, which is revered among certain Chaos Magicians.

To see the book that started it all, check out the "Principia Discordia", or the "Principles of discord." It reveals this all to be a Goddess based philosophy, where the goddess is Eris, the same gopddess that started the Trojan War by giving Paris the Golden Apple of Kallistae, and telling him to give it to the most beautiful. paris gave it to Helen, and not Athene, Aphrodite, or Hera, so these goddesses had their countries attack Troy, under the rule of Agamemnon.

The discordians basically believe that "disinformation" will destroy the dominant paradigm, and release the will of the individual, which often is "controlled" by perceptions that are imposed through "consensus" and "media". Basically, they think if they lie enough, noone will have the little truths that seperate us, and the greater truth will unite us.
Fun people, but don't invest much information in them.

Had a "ritual" about that very thing not too long ago... ** ahem ** And I will tell you this much...I have more things to be afraid of, if I am to be afraid at all for that matter, than a "secret" society with a hidden agenda for humanity...

What can they take from me..? ME: yup, but some manipulation is neccessary; the biggest argument is how much. Your parents manipulated you, and so does society, your boss manipulates you, and if you are in a relationship, you already know gang about manipulation. Manipulation is how society overcomes the untamable human spirit, which it holds is a potentially destructive force. You allow people to condition you all the time, in school, in your friendships, your family, but you always have a will in the matter.

ME: No, i say the "Illuminati" is silly, it is a mockery of Secret Societies and Fraternal orders; which often have have weird imagery obscure backstories (but for good reason), and certainly I have never seen an order that was "evil" even the ones that claim to be evil. Skull and Bones is not meant to be a reference to evil, it is meant to be a reference to the common inner nature of the mortal human, which has been a subject of fascination for mankind for countless ages.

Yes, I am an Initiate of many mysteries, not all Western. I live at a place that has a Lodge of the Order in the lower floors, where we meet weekly, seasonally, and for Initiations; and occasionally I show up, and i still bump tunes in my room, and play GTA San Andreas like a real person. (Spooky music). I have been an Intiate formally in at least Order since 1997, and could never tell you about the rituals I have undergone, unless you underwent them, without breaking my obligations. It may not seem like much but the stages of a man's life, but the Father we speak of, is the Lord of the Universe and Architect of Creation, which any true Order carries a lineage to. These are the stages of alchemical transformation, contained in the secret formula V.I.T.R.I.O.L., which is the acronym formed of the statement: Visita Interiora Terrae Rectificando Occultum Lapidem. These correlate to the sevent stages of Alchemy, the seven chakras, and the sevens that are found throughout the natural and manmade world. Here, Aleph, Mem, Shin, is AMSh, in hebrew (which is written backwards) this is "Shema" - The Name. It is a sacred name of God given to Moses by the father of his wife Sephora, and it is veiled in the formula "Ahih Ashr Ahih", or "I am that I am", the name he recieved from the burning bush. A beautiful rendition of this account is in the movie Prince of Egypt.

These Three letter A, M and Sh are called the Three Mothers, they are respectively Air, Water, and Fire, the three sustainers of human life.

By concealing the Sh of fire (the untamable human soul, the heat and light within us blazing like the flaming sun, which is the source of all life on this planet) within the Tau (Cross,but also the name of the Letter Th), we get AMTh, spelled Ameth (or Aemeth in Latin). Aemeth is the hebrew word for Truth, and is the name of "Jacob's ladder"; his vision of all the angels in the coming and going to this world on mount moriah, where he later in life wrestled and angel to earn the name Israel.

Thus Truth is the ability to see the Spiritual in the realms of the material.

And in light of all of this, the secret society is the Universal Brotherhood, and the truth not all are ready for, is that ultimate Order is Humanity.
