Israel- Wall or No Wall?

Okay... Heres some Background information..

Israel is the country given to the Jews after WW2.. It was given to them by the U.N. Palestinians occupied the land before it was tooken by the world and given to the Jews (The Israelis). After that, Israelis (The Jews) and Palestinians have been fighting a war. The war has been going on for decades..
Yasser Arafat, who recently died, was the only leader the Palestinians had during the 3 decade (So far) war. Israelis current leader is Arial Sharone.
Theres 2 pieces of land in Israel for the Palestinians. The West Bank and the Gaza strip. The Gaza Strip basically gots a wall around it. But right now Israel are building a 450+Mile wall around the West Bank to keep out the terrorists that are attacking the Israelis. The wall is 15 ft. thick, and 30 ft. high. At some places there is electric fence around it and dug trenches around it. There is watch towers all down the wall. As of now, its half way done being built. It will take 2 more years to finish. They only have one check point as of now.

Do you think its wrong to put the wall up?
(^^Palestinian Side)

or.

Do you think the Wall should be put up?
(^^Israeli Side)

Im for the wall... Palestinians always complaining that tanks and military roaming through their neighborhoods.. Well this wall will make it so that the Israelis can pull out their troops and leave them be. They still allowed to come through the wall but they have to be checked for bombs and shit because of all the suicide bombings thats happened.

The palestinians also complain that the Israeli's slowly been adding to there land taking away tje palestinians land.. This wall will stop the Israelis from moving forward and taking more land..

And the land was given to them by the world for safety reasons. The wall is only making them safer..

And the Israelis are funding the wall with there money.. Noone elses...

Shit this is harsh, there's no place for peace beetween both sides as the leaders of both let themselves be guided by fundamentalist sectors of each side.

On the wall: i have understood that the way people live there is differnet than the other parts of the world where here ends me so there starts you.
building a wall will part some "aldeas". I also have heard that the wall is being built at-will by israelis so the don't respect the actual borders and also the wall does not allow access to some important natural resources such as rivers.

So a big wall didn't help China to be invaded, this wall won't stop the violence (from both sides) but one thing i'm shure the people who lived together there in peace (palestinians and israelis) would have another issue to be sad about. To me No Wall.

I don't think there would be peace, love and understanding there for a long, long, time.

So do I agree w/Lil P and Fapper...

That's the first thing that I thought when I read this, "hasn't the wall thing been tried before..?" Granted, this is probably a very different wall, but it seems to me to be the same idea...

Are there more reasons beyond those that you gave that would substantiate a wall above all things..?

There'd be absolutely no use for a wall...

the utmost dilemma in that area of the world is the absence of a Palestinian state. I laugh when I here on the news reporters referring to the areas that palestinians live on as "Palestine"...
there's no such thing!

It's ridiculous the way they're divided. These people (the palestinians) don't live in a state or nation...rather, on pockets of land as set by the UN.
I may be biased, but Israel has always had most slices of the pie.

I'm not saying that tensions will cease if a Palestinian state comes to be realized, on the contrary. However, until Israel gets most protection and "affection" by most of the western world, headed in particular by the US, and palestinians are ignored, tensions will further increase.

Hell, Jews and Arabs have been living for thousands of years in that area (history shows us this, and for those who believe, the Bible as well)...there's always been tension. But don't be giving me that, "It's the land that belongs to the Jews" crap. My 2 cents worth: really no land belongs to anyone...or else why the fuck do so many cultures, races, ethnicities exist?

Again, a wall would be of no use...
if anything, it owuld worsen things.

*Oh, and a further note:
if leaders on both sides continue to be ex-military men (Ariel Sharon was a general), things won't get any better!

*Btw, read this article re Sharon:

^^Yup..

But I still believe there should be a wall... Because they are following the exact outline of the west bank ... Not taking any extra land... And The Palestinians ahve a body of water right next to them... to the right.... The wall is being built on the left side, top, and bottom, because the right side connects to a different country..
