I guess the experiment in Europe didn't become a Blackhole after all.

Actually I think you are referring to the Large Hadron Collider and I believe they have just fired it up to shoot proton beams around - I could be mistaken. Beam crossing, smashing and other potential black hole inducing stunts is scheduled to occur later in the year.
