I start saying for example that i use Galli strings (they're better than the D'addario's) and i can found heavy gauges like .12 that sounds more bluesy/jazzy than .09 used in metal.

I use a local brand of guitar strings, which are very similar to the Ernie Ball Skinny Top-Heavy Bottom set, 0.011"-0.052" gauge. I prefer the heavy gauge because they create a better tone (more metal moving over the pickups, resulting in a stronger signal), and have better definition when tuning down.
I play mostly metal, but enjoy jamming to other styles.

The TS-9 is awesome as a clean boost for solos. But I reckon pure amp distortion works best for rhythm tones, pedals just add a top-end fuzzy layer, rather than crunch.
When I get my new amp (Line6 Flextone II) I'll record some tunes. Thanks for the interest Fapper!

yeah though i've tested a zoom analog distortion pedal that is cheaper thatn the Ibanez and has a wide range of use

well i bought yesterday a Ibanez TS7 (it sound very well, i'll upload some)
it is china made (so cheaper than TS9) and has a plus a optional boost for the TS9 sound so you can have pretty rythm drive.
I admit i like fuzz rather than crunch.

Haven't been playing for awhile now, but I do have a black Gibson Les Paul Custom w/ black EMG pickups.
I also use a Marshall TubeBlaster amp, Crybaby wa-wa pedal, and some Roland effects pedals.
Looking into buying an ESP electric guitar...plus, I seriously need to buy an acoustic since I literally scrapped my old one.

Me, washburn amp (25wBDr) and a little marshall (2w) portatile
Squier Stratocaster, Spanish Sentchordi, and Mexican Acoustic.
Zoom multi effects, and now also a Ibanez TubeScreamer TS7
