Pondering on the mystery of life

This is not really a philosophical question. I thought of this while reading the topic of Evolution vs Creation II and that particular statement of needing Divine intervention for life to have come.

I just wonder, what exactly is that particular "thing" that turns organic matter into a living being? We are perfectly able to create organic matter yet never something alive has come out of it. Even bacteria which are just simple cells are alive but for all our knowledge we cannot create life, only worthless decaying matter.

What do you believe is that "thing" that turns organic matter into a living being? Is it our soul? A type of energy which we do not understand? Will we ever be able to control it? To create life out of a biochemical reaction?

Share your thoughts.

As I mentioned in the EvC II thread, there is a mathematical anomoly that exists in high concept math, a variable that cannot be calculated, but has to be accounted for...RAUM would better be able to explain than I could, but google [google]Cosmological Constant[/google] and you should get somewhat of a better picture of it...Many mathmaticians have lost it, trying to figure it...

That unknown stimulus, that value that exists but cannont be calculated, I believe to be the lone, sheer proof that God exists...You cannot do any intense calculations, without accounting for it...Among other things, if you tried to get to the moon using Newton's equation, that ass would be way off...Partially due to the fact that gravity is bullshit, but that's another thread as well..
Anyway, I think that this energy, this stimulus, is a potent piece of creative force, like an invisible, universal stem cell that pieces itself into other incomplete structures that gives it life...

I can only think of the Frankenstein monster, in this instance...A combobulation of dead things, brought to life by some sort of alchemical means...I'm not even saying that it is intelligent...I call it God, but whatever works is good as well...It could be what is left of a universe constantly trying to balance itself out...Like a big zipper, or something...

But, whatever it is, leaves it's imprint on us, and lets us breathe...Like, remember that movie the Green Mile..? How he himself was nothing super special, but he had that gift, and when he touched Tom Hanks and that Rat, they like, lived a long, long time...I imagine that unknown variable is just like that, at some point or another going through all things living...

Water is clearer than blood.

i leave in the morning, and will be gone for a while...

but i would like to leave some words, and wish you all the holiday cheer you can endure.

Regarding this topic:

The first people to look for it, in writing were the chinese.

They called in Jen, it is the tendency of Chi to cumulate into new forms, and form new relationships with its self through its transmutation.

Of this Jen, the great poet wrote the following, which I was immediately reminded of when I read this.

(In Translation, by ???)

There is a brook
in the mountains
nobody I ask knows its name
It shines on the earth like a piece
of the sky. It falls away
in waterfalls, with a sound
like rain. It twists between rocks
and makes deep pools. It divides
into islands. It flows through
calm reaches. The years
go by, its clear depths
never change.
- Ch'u Ch'uang I

(This is called the secret of life, and is well worth meditation, for therein is a masterful vision of the waters of life.)

Happy holidays all, especially you, dear friend who is veiled in the formula Ayhja, and your chosen and preferred.!

watch a movie called "what the bleep do we know?"

very, very entertaining...

interviews with all sorts of geniuses in different fields, sharing their thoughts on how life came about, and quantum physics

strongly recommended!!!

Ayhja...this is right up your alley dude...you'll love it, check it out

well i dont know any mathematical reasoning of life in it self maybe there is an explanation somewhere out there which is yet to be discoverd and i would like to bring forth the fact that once as atom was believed to be the smallest part of matter but soon after that when an atom was sliced open to reveal electrons protons and neutrons and as so the reasoning of a life and a soul maybe found soon enough and with the lastest case of a pet cat being cloned for $65000 is challenging the fact of life and its meaning and as the very existence of a soul. My version of organic matter being alive and how it is achived is through the womb of a mother where the 1st breath of life is taken well frankly every egg is already a living being already just not a complete living being so to harvest that egg and combine it with sperm which contains the genetic information of the parents which is the deciding factor of the new borns ablilty so whether there is a some form of energy or a soul for living organizms are truly complex or maybe just some thing small as beliveing we are living that makes us alive

and oh yeah there is this great game that i played that deals with this topic as well "Metal Gear Solid". I think the 3rd part of the game was released lately but i only played the 1st part nd it really made me think and helped me out a lil as well . its all about DNA cloning and soul and life and how we live and why we live . Chek it out its a great game
