so there was a woman, don't matter who, and her kids was being a terror in the backseat, and she threatened to put them out the car, a sort walk from home. well, they tried to call her bluff....
Turns out she was serious. she put them brats out, and made them walk. I think she is my mother of the year, except she repented of her sin against her children.
Now, this is bullshit, but they basically made her admit she made a mistake or they was gonna take her kids. Am I the only one who thinks this is bullshit? Them kids was like 3 miles from the house. I would DIE as a kid today... Cause my ass tried to ride my bike 100 miles to shreveport from monroe when I was 10. Hell, I got put out the truck 10 miles from the house with a rifle, knife, and a flashlight for messing with my sister when we was hunting. They didn't even let me ride in the bed of the truck with the dogs.
Now, that mommy has admitted wrong doing, and so many damn people will be watching, you know those little girls going to end up spoiled with delusions of self-importance. crap!
I swear to god we need a national thicken your child's skin day.

Absolutely! In fact, I did this to my kids when they were about 7 & 4. We were on the way from SC to FL and the kids had started fighting from the moment they got in the car. We got on the interstate and I made the usual parental warning, "If you kids don't quit fighting, I'm putting you on the side of the highway." Well, it worked for about 2 minutes before they started up again. I pulled over to the side of the interstate, put the van in Park and told them to get out. Their mother started to say something, but she saw the look in my eyes. So the kids are crying and promising to be good, I'm slinging the door open and telling them to get out of my car. They did, I got back in and pulled off - for about 20 feet. My point had been made and the kids didn't say a mumblin' word for the rest of the 6 hour trip. They, of course, remember nothing of this "traumatic" event and are well behaved, well rounded out kids. Sometimes it takes extreme measures to get your point to your kids.

Back in the day all my mother had to do was do one of those Linda Blair Exorcist head spins and my sister and I knew we were dead meat if we uttered another sound.
Mom did what she needed to do to get her point across. Nobody got hurt and now they know Mom means business. It kills me when the powers that be can overlook a situation that really needs attention for some bullshit!

All it takes is one good asswhipping...I probably shouldn't whip kids with what I whip them with, but the point gets across...2 industrial strength garbage bag rolls that I wield 2 at a time like...Ass whipping comes from both hands, all angles...All it takes is a look and shit is straight...If my kid did something bad and somebody told him, 'I'm going to tell your Daddy' he'd probably piss himself...I don't think I've had to whip my kid in maybe a year...

Hmm...In my house, it went like this...
If you liked to play with matches, the first offense you got yelled at and threatened...
If you got caught again, you got the shit beat out of you...
If you got caught again, you got burned with the matches...
If you got caught AGAIN, Grandaddy got told...And you don't want to know what happened then, lol...

Pretty much the same way in our household. All it did was make me get REAL sneaky.
