It appears Michael Bay & co are not listening to the main gripe that people had with the first movie: TOO MANY FUCKING HUMANS & not enough giant robots beating the shit outta each other. apparently most of the original cast is returning minus the so-called "hackers" but replaced by The Office's Rainn Wilson & another bad aussie 'actress' named Isabel Lucas from one of our horrific soap dramas called Home & Away. i do not like this one fucking bit bit!!! they nailed the robot cgi down in the last outing , yet decided to spend half the movie with unecessary human bullshit. once again this will just take away from the action instead of adding to it & proves once & for all that Bay is a fucking egomaniac who listens to nobody.
now it seems we also have this latest development:
20 Robots in Transformers 2

Coming Soon offers:

Screenwriter Roberto Orci has made a interesting post on Don Murphy’s message board about Transformers 2 that reads:

I’d love and think we could almost barely manage ten on each side, with some front and center and others as more supporting.

If this is indeed true & they are doubling the number of robots w/out reducing the humans, How the fuck are said robots gonna get screentime & be serviced by the movie properly?!? sounds like one big hollyweird clusterfuck to me. i have zero expectations on this now & might even wait for it to hit dvd. sigh..

The first movie was good for me as a fan because I knew they were setting the movie up properly...In the animated series, the kid and the dad were there...For the most part, I assumed that Sam and Megan would be assuming those roles...The fact that the bots had little screen time was understood in that instance...

But the characters are the Transformers...Sam is a fucking sidekick, and they should not be headlining this shit...

Sigh...One of those films that will do well because the first one did, and now we're stuck wondering if we'll get a fair shake for all the Saturday mornings we spent rolling out...

Matthew Marsden Joins The Cast Of Transformers 2

Another human crams into Transformers 2! We get wind today that Matthew Marsden has joined the cast thanks to our friends at MTV:

MTV News has learned that Matthew Marsden is the newest addition to the cast of “Transformers 2.” He joins a high-powered cast returning for the sequel to last year’s blockbuster, including Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, Josh Duhamel and Tyrese. Marsden hooks up with Michael Bay’s super-franchise for the sequel much like Rainn Wilson, whose casting was revealed last week by MTV.

Marsden has been cast in the role of “Graham,” a character who is part of the British Special Forces. Although the film’s plot is being kept under the tightest veils of secrecy, it is known that the flick will depict an even more worldly battle than the first “Transformers” film, and will shoot all over the globe. In the sequel, Graham teams with Duhamel and Tyrese’s military characters, joining their efforts as they do battle with the evil Decepticons.

Good! That’s what I want to see, more humans fighting deceptions. I love it when a cast becomes bloated with characters I don’t give a shit about. The casting news coming out of the Transformers camp continues to disappoint, and well up worry with me. I wasn’t thrilled with the first film, but had high hopes that the mistakes would be remedied in the follow up film. Instead, it looks like more of the same is being shucked together.

Who knows when the list of actors will stop. The number of actors that they are getting for this film is starting to be comedic. With luck, we will still have robot to robot dialogue than we did in the first film. I would like to see Megatron give all of the decepticons a pep talk at least once in the film.

OK, I'm more stoked about this than I would like to...When I was a kid, the constructicons were my fucking favorites or a great while...Seeing that shit transform on the big screen has to have a great redeeming factor for any mess they throw our way...
