The Flood

Ok so..
Due to the strong evidence in support of the canopy layer originally surrounding the earth, we have good reason to believe that it had not rained previously on the earth until the flood.
How does the collapse of this layer relate to the flood?
Basically, what really went down?
And there is NO WAY that Noah and his fam could have got one type of every single living creature...thas jus irrational..was it just one type of each animal or what?
I think I got one..!

Alright..!
While I"m sure that RAUM will be along shortly to burst my bubble, this is one of the few things I paced myself to learn a bit about...
The way that I understand it, this canopy layer was pretty much water of sorts...And that it didn't rain, like we know it, but that rather it sort of "dewed" every day...It was pretty much an ideal climate year around, which is why the existence of dinosaurs is valid, because reptiles will continue to grow in an indeal climate...
But whenever this canopy fell, shed any traditional thoughts of ran you have...Not you and your girlfriend running through the sprinkler in your front yard...Think BUCKETS of water pouring...Not rain drops...
Secondly, Noah's Ark was huge..I don't think that it is TOO irrational for there to be different kinds of beasts in there...Lets give room for a bit of evolution and adaptation in this instance, where you could see for example, how Kodiak Bears and Polor Bears got their swerve on...
I think it's possible to have gotten The base species of each into the ark, yes...

cool. so it was just base species? Cuz there is so many slight variations, thats what gets me..but yea you are right about the dew..*waits for raum to son us all*

It wouldn't have been EVERY animal species, just the ones found in that region.
The rains happened billions of years before, when the earth cooled down enough for condensation to occur.
Reptiles grew and dominated for millions of years, because they were in their ideal climate. Nice and warm and tropical- they are cold-blooded, but being so warm weather they don't have to hibernate when its dark.
I got more to say but I'll hold it.
Honestly I think that some of you take the Bible too literally. They are just observations and interpretations, and what they believed in. Science didn't occur back then, so they didn't critically analyse every detail.
Please don't bag me, I am a faithful Christian.

Bullshit...some of the smartest people ever to walk the face of the earth lived in BC or in the early centuries. The guy who discovered geometry lived in the 4th century. Plato, Socrates, and the rest of the gang lived before Christ. The people who made the sundial were around before Christ.
Most of our science and knowledge is based off of what those people wrote.

thanks, for the clarification trashtalker. The truth is the entire Samothracian occupation (which punctuates Greece's HUGE Scientific Revoltion) occured before the building of the Second Temple, much less the prophecy of the "Messiah."
Furthermore, long before this illusory "B.C." the Chinese already had pi calculated to the fiftieth decimal point, Persians were creating Mutiplication grids and developing square roots and creating the first telescopes, and the Egyptians were employing the use of electricity, and had been since the time of Ankhnaten.
and the native americans had been using the practice of "vaccination..."
(old saying "What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger"...)
I could keep going...

What? You saying the earth is not even a hundred thousand years old?
:bs:
The earth is 4.6 BILLION years old, to be exact.
I made a mistake when I said "Science didn't occur back then". I didn't mean it to sound like that. Of course, civilisations have been thinking scientifically way before the times that were described in the Testament, eg. Native American vaccinations etc. I know about Socrates, Hippocrates, Plato, Pythagoras etc.
I didn't know the Eqyptians had electricity though! That'd be so cool if I could go back then in a time machine, with my amp and guitar, and put on a rock concert! YEEAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!
It's just that, whoever wrote those books, or at least edited the versions that we learnt from, made whatever science into magic, or just took it out altogether.

Lmao, dogg there is TONS of proof that say the earth is not even 100,000. ill spit some stuff later...carbon dating is more inaccurate than a shaq free throw, and there is even more proof that is in favor of a young earth. the creation days were 24 hours day, and creation could not have occured through evolution, if you go by the biblical account of creation.

Wow...this is news to me. The best scientists out there can only guess on how old the earth is and most believe in a young earth due to what Deeje was talkin about. If the scientists couldn't figure it out, how can you?
