Gassed about basketball this year..? You bet..!

For some reason though, I'm a little sad that Blake Griffin is hurt..! The fucking Clippers are a cursed franchise man, dudes must be scared out of their fucking minds to go there...I wish he had went to OKC, him and Durant would have been the best duo in hoops I bet...That dunk he hurt his knee on though...Damn...

Despite losing convincingly, don't let the score fool you, the Clips actually looked pretty good tonight. If only BGriff didn't get hurt they'd probably be a playoff team...and still might when he comes back. Eric Gordon is a beast...and Chris Kaman just does work. If Baron Davis can stay motivated, they will be pretty decent.

Artest and Bynum both looked pretty good. Odom looked focused...Lakers...82-0 :)

Wizards look pretty good too...Arenas is back and playing well, Butler is an all-star...Jamison and Haywood? Not too shabby.

Cavs vs C's was just what I expected.... Cavs came out strong, got all cocky, lots of LeBron highlights..Shaq got involved with some easy dunks....but at the end of the day...they're losing to the better teams in the league. They'll be a lot of fun to watch, they'll steamroll everyone besides the other 4 competitive teams...but when it comes down to it...I just don't see them beating the C's, the Lakers, or the Spurs...(verdict is still out on the Magic)

It's almost like we should just skip the season and start the playoffs....everyone knows it's really only down to 5 teams...there's a lot of shitty teams...a lot of teams that may improve and make some noise during the season, may even score a nice 4 seed or something come playoff time....but its between the Spurs, Lakers, Magic, Celtics, and Cavs at the end...

Nonetheless I'm more excited about this season than any other! Should be an interesting one

My hatred for the Cavs is at an all time high for any team aside from teh Suns of a couple years ago.

That being said, I was happy to see them lose to the Raptors yesterday LOL (The raptors...really?)

The Hornets continue their losing-in-embarrassing-fashion tendencies from last years playoffs..

The Spurs looked pretty good....the only thing I don't like about them is that every time Dajuan Blair makes a good play I get more and more heated at Bulls management for not picking him.

My roommate and another good friend are going to the Spurs Bulls game tonight...and I would have gone, but I have stupid stuff for class (Sad day:( ) I'm excited to see how they compete against a contender.

The nuggets looked solid last night playing a pretty good Jazz team. For some reason...it seems like a new thing with them....keep it kinda close for three quarters and then just open the floodgates in the fourth. That doesn't work against premiere teams (Read: Lakers, example last years playoffs) but they should definitely provide some good entertainment when they play other solid teams from around the league.

I feel bad for Jerry Sloan...he always has good teams that will make the playoffs and compete...but the Jazz just seems cursed to never make it over the edge and be championship worthy (don't get me wrong, i love those old malone/stockton teams who were championship worthy) but these teams now...barring a huge move midseason or a bunch of injuries...just won't get it done in a 7 game series.

Couple things:

What in the world were the Hornets thinking by firing Byron Scott? I'm just not buying this dumbass idea that "they wanted to change and make the gm run the ship he put together" I've always thought the Hornets were horribly overrated..and it seems like now they're finally playing like the talent on their roster should. Not to mention, the hornets have something like SIX new players this season...one of whom, an important piece (Okafor), didn't play a single game in the preseason....why would they not expect a semi-rocky start while everyone is getting used to each other and the system. I just cannot fathom them firing Scott when the team is 3-6.... But Sacramento's coach still has a job... Oh well. Rumors are that Scott is going to take over the Lakers when Phil is done (most likely at the end of this year)

The Lakers look shitty right now...but there are a few good things. One obviously being that they're playing without their 2nd best player (Gasol) so once he is back, hopefully things will be right. Kobe just plays better with Gasol on the floor. Bynum is looking pretty good, like he's finally getting back and coming into his own....but he's looked like that the last two years and then gone down with an injury and derailed all that progression. Me and the rest of Laker nation are holding our respective breath everytime he plays...just waiting for him to get hurt. I love Derek Fisher as much as the next guy, but I think his time for guarding point guards is pretty much done. After Brooks dropped 33 on him (just like he destroyed him for most of the playoffs last year) I think it's time to seriously consider giving the reigns over to Shannon Brown, who I have nothing but good things to say about. Oh and how about Morrison? How does someone play that well in college and just SUCK in the NBA. He was playing some garbage time against the Nuggets Friday night and threw up like 3 air balls in six shots, unreal.

ROY is definitely Brandon Jennings thus far.....in case you missed it, the dude is averaging over 20 points a game and put up FIFTY FIVE points last night. 5-5. That's more than like 95% of the NBA's career highs...and this guy has done it in his first twenty games in the league. Not to mention, he did that without scoring a single point in the whole first quarter. This is a rookie point guard who put up 55 points in three quarters? I thought he'd be the best point guard in the draft, but even I'm pretty much blown away by how well this guy can score. The most impressive thing about it? He immediately credited his teammate when asked about his performance "But that doesn’t happen without [Andrew] Bogut down low, scoring in the post and opening things up for me. I’m not doing this alone here." With his monster game, his scoring average is up to 25.6 points a game...and he seems pretty humble about it. Expect good things!

Iverson, Grizzlies Agree to Terminate Contract

Allen Iverson's time in Memphis is over.

The Grizzlies announced Monday in a statement that the team has ended its one-year contract with the 10-time All-Star and former league MVP in what it called a mutual agreement. Iverson is expected to be placed on waivers by 6 p.m. ET Monday, a league source told ESPN.com's Chris Sheridan.

Under the agreement, Iverson will receive only a fraction of the $3 million he was scheduled to earn. If he clears waivers, he will become an unrestricted free agent on Wednesday night.

"The Grizzlies and Allen Iverson have come to a mutual agreement that because of personal matters that forced him to leave the team on Nov. 7, Allen will step away from the game at this time, allowing him to focus on those matters," Grizzlies GM Chris Wallace said in a statement. "As a result, we will be ending our contractual agreement with Allen, which will allow both parties to move forward. We wish Allen the best."

Iverson has been on a personal leave of absence for 10 days. Grizzlies owner Michael Heisley had told Iverson's agent, Leon Rose, earlier Monday that team wanted to know soon whether Iverson would play or retire, the Memphis Commercial Appeal reported on its Web site.

In three games since returning from a hamstring injury, Iverson averaged 12.3 points and 3.7 assists in 22.3 minutes as a reserve.

I don't understand the fascination with firing coaches...They say dude was in love with golfing, and in that case, I agree...You can't be fucking off in no shape, form, or fashion...I agree with them there...But still, it doesn't seem like anything but a cop out, and that shit stinks to high heaven...

I was EXTREMELY giddy watching the Jennings highlights last night...Man was he dropping mofos off like an elevator..!

For a team that's been playing like it needs an enima here is the most exciting play on the team this year and it didn't count...

And yeah yeah I know you all hate the Celtics around here and it's Lakerland through and through but I put this up cause it was a cool as shit shot not to get in any arguments. It's been a tough week to be a Boston "anything" fan ya know?
