I thought that was going to be about 'male, female' numbers, in that 1 is male, 2 is female, 3 is male again (or female), and so on...

I don't know where this theorem is from, though.

Sorry my link didn't work; here is the skinny. Phonecian numerals are like roman numerals, in a lot of ways. They have marks that represent 1, 5, 10, 20, and 100. All other numbers in their script are formed by the combination of these numbers. Make the mark for "1" three times, and it is the number "3". The modern numerals have NO ground in phonecian mathematics or writing.

The truth is always more interesting.

Oh well, sounded good when I read it. Guess that you can't trust everything you read.
