[shadow=red:32085a60b2]well i jus posted that post on wat life means to you and Deeje sed something about the after life that if i may quote him "I meant the purpose of life is to prepare yourself for what happens AFTER death..
" so that kinda struck me wit this idea of what ur beliefs are and what it means ..............
To which extent does our beliefs in the religion we follow affect our after life and everything else in our normal life ............. my beliefs are easy to follow ..............i say there is one god but i dont really care which it is ......either Allah, Jesus, Om or any other god that may or may not exist ....................i say do wat eva u feel is right ............and nothin else in the world would matter jus do right by
The reason i sed there is a god is coz i rekon well i know a lil about the theory of evolution but not a lot .............and i figure that science has been able to giv a reason fo almost every thing but hasnt been able to define how matter came to exist but i may be proven wrong on this one but any way as i was sayin no one has been able to define how matter came to exist nd well something or someone must hav been there to create it so there is bound to be a god the debate on which culture 1st came to exist has been going on fo eons and well i think it wud hav to be hinduism but that doesnt mean to any of u all are wrong but that doesnt even mean any of us are right in beliveing that our culture or religion was the 1st to exist there hasnt been any proof of that as yet. Anyway bak to my topic
What do u think it means for ur after life in the religion u follow and why ??
And Oh yeah do u belive in the after life ?[/shadow:32085a60b2]

It is my understanding that Jesus, Allah, El, Jehovah, etc are all names for the same God...
That is the one that I believe in as the creator of all, The Lord of the Universe...I do believe there are other powerful beings that we could liken to Gods as well...I do not think nearly every civilization had a polytheistic belief system for no good reason...
I would not say that I believe in the afterlife as much as I do reincarnation...I feel that reincarnation is a more powerful and purposeful idea, and would make more sense, at least in terms of humans striving to give their lives meaning...
Cool topic...

I think it all depends on how much work you do in this life to determine what you do in the next...If you're in a constant mind set to find out more about who and what you really are, and dedicate time to that, when the time comes for your energy to return to its source, you may earn the right to say, "Might I suggest I come back as......."
Animals and other creatures seemingly not as determined to destroy their enviroment like humans are, I can't really say...As a bit of an off the wall theory, I think they are...Fragments of the energy used to make other creatures...Like for instance, taking the wood shavings you used to create your favorite baseball bat and turning them into a picture frame...
I also think that those creatures realize that they are as much a part of God as we are, and don't focus so much time in fighting it...In many ways, smarter, and definitely more efficient that us....

well ayhja i must say that i quite agree wit you on all that .........but the fact that ur reincarnation depends on wat u do in this life .......... that doesnt feel right to me fo some reason although that wud be the thing that i do belive in as well but my thoughts are that as u sow so shall u reep (might hav spelt it wrong) and that whateva good or bad that u do you hav to get wateva u hav to get in this life time (whether it be punishment or reward) so about wat u reincarnate as does depends on wat u do in this life but most of it u already get it in this life ............. and well it kinda brings the question on nurture vs nature thing in my mind ......... if some one was taught to kill from the moment they were born does it still make that person evil in front of god......?
so what wud it mean for the reincarnation of that person ............although the socailly that person wud be considered criminal or evil but what wud he be in front of god ?? wud he reincarnate as a human or something else ?

I don't believe in a universal right or wrong, good or bad...I goes against the way of the universe...Most animals kill other other animals for food, do they not..?
We are looked at as animals in one way or another, why would we be so different..? I know it may seemed liked a fucked up way to think about it, but we are all part of a world that needs to have a certain amout and a certain type of chaos about it to ensure its survival...
The God I spoke of had some real killers on his team, according to bible lore...Sampson for example, was born to kick all kinds of ass...If I had to say, I'd say that God favors those who do their work and whatever tasks there may be in front of him...Cain murdering Abel was considered "wrong," but when Moses murdered that Egyptian, two shits were given and we moved on...
I think that even in this life, you have innate ability that comes from someone before you...Cultivating and strenghtening that presence is what's up, I believe...

I don't believe in reincarnation. That doesn't make sense at all. I believe in Jesus as the true God and that there is an afterlife....either heaven or hell.

Err...
Why would you say reincarnation doesn't make sense, but you believe in the afterlife...Are they not based on the same principles..? You do know, that it is fact, that energy cannot be created or destroyed, right..? What do you think is keeping you alive..?

U know ayhja that seems like a very logical explanation to me ...it accounts fo everything in my books and the fact that energy cannot be created or destroyed ...................kinda brings forth a new question in my head ...........if energy cannot be created how wud we explain the increased popullation of the world .......................one explanation could be in my head that deaths of living beings in the universe equals the births in the universe whether it be trees, animals or humans so that way engery doesnt hav to be created
And Trashtalker i rekon heaven and hell are both on earth or any other planet that has living beings on it so u may be able to feel misery or happiness .............remember u can be born into the richest family in the world but u mite not hav any frends and be the unhappiest guy on earth
