Hopefully an easy one for all you tech minded people..
buying a Dell & narrowed it down to two, the only difference is the graphics card:
Intel Integrated GMA 4500MHD
or for 50GBP/70USD more, 512MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD4330
i'm watching the odd DVD & web stuff, no games. is it worth spending the extra?
cheers

If you are not playing any games and stuff then the integrated intel graphics chip is fine. But If it only costs 70USD its always better to have a dedicated graphics card. Thats my opinion anyway man.
And personally that is a good graphics card and if later on you do decide to play a game on it it will be good to have.

I tell you what Bro, what kinda chip is in it..? I would spring for an Intel chip all the way, and if that's the case, get the on-board graphics with plenty of system RAM, which should offset any issues you may have with integrated video...

Hi guys, thanks for that!
Uber, you lost me already! they both have same spec: Intel® Pentium® Dual-Core Processor T4400 (2.2GHz, 800MHz, 1MB cache) & 3072MB 800MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM [1x2048 + 1x1024].
Are you saying to stick with the integrated card?
Cheers

If you only need 2D (web browsing, e-mail, etc) for a laptop then the onboard Intel 4500HD is perfectly fine. Laptop LCD screens usually aren't that good anyway, they sacrifice thin profile for image quality.

Better for conserving power but negligible picture quality difference. LED is merely for back lighting. It's not going to improve picture quality.

I cant believe its so complicated! I'm still none the wiser! the screen is 17.3" WLED High Definition + (1600 x 900) TFT Display with TrueLife™. so i guess thats an LED screen.
