programming languages

what's everyone's favourite?

i'll start it off with C/C++ for most things and prolog for a fair amount of ai stuff

Although a Geek supreme, I don't know any programming languages well enough to have a favorite...

yes, well not professionally...
i'm studying for a degree in artificial intelligence and thinking of going into research when i graduate

computational linguistics is my shtick so to speak /:D" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt=":D" />

I know clipper, dbase, visual basic, pascal, assembler
Nowadays i use GeneXus that generates code in VB, VC++,Java,PostGre,etc

And yes C++ is great.

i am formally trained in the art of c++ and have meddled with visual basic, visual basic for applications, sql, html etc

I know some basic VB.NET and I'm learning Java. Still being in school with a crappy computer teacher who got her degree in the 80s blows for programming.
