Should sports starts have a say in who the team gets?

NO DOUBT..!

Leave them no excuses...I take it that players know players best...It's one thing to see them, but when you're balling with them, you know something no coach does...Chemistry is they key, not just the stars, but the entire roster should have a say so...

But then what's the point of management? If players are making the decisions then there is no point for management.

I agree that it prolly would leave them no excuse b/c they chose who would be on the team but I think it's giving the stars too much power

That's not true, trash...I see it no different than beat cops actually suggesting to the big brass to what kind of firearm they would rather be using, you know..? Management does so much more than personnell, correct..? Players making suggestions or giving input to the type of players they think would be good for the organization is good...

I mean, how would you feel if your coach just told you to, "Shut the fuck up and play.." ? It stops feeling like a sport at that point, and starts to feel like something else, you dig..?

Chaos Control..? Let ALL the players that want submit anonymoust letters or have private meetings with the heads involved to listen to their critique and input on the team, and the game...You cover all bases, you afford no player and special treatment, and the placebo, if nothing else gives you great leverage...

Input is ok but I don't think the player should have the right to say "no, don't get him go after this guy." If they say "yea, it would be nice to play with so and so" then that's alright.

Sometimes the management wants a certain type of team and the players want a different type. Because they are under contract, the players have to play the type of game management wants them to. The people the players want to play with might not fit that certain type of play
