The Mozilla Foundation is to turn for-profit with a new incorporated arm to push the Firefox browser and Thunderbird e-mail application.
The Mozilla corp. 20 bucks says google tries to buy them in a year.

I knew they would do this sooner or later. I didn't read the article but I hope they don't charge us to use it

my guess is they will do a bit like red hat or something similar.

They have leaps and bounds to make before they can start charging for those apps...I can already hear the disassemblers making keygens and patches...

they state it will still be free, but they have to incorporporate FOR profit, because they actually started making money... and have to allocate it.
they also talk of some feature (plug-ins) that may be sold, or paying for official support (like anyone needs it!)
