'Tis the name Donovan McNabb gave to the whole Eagles dilemma during his most recent interview with Sportscenter.

Personally, I don't know why this thread hasn't been started yet, perhaps no one is aware of whats going on...so, let me fill everyone in!

Terrell Owens....dispite threatening to hold out...went to Eagles camp last Monday...where he was boo'd by the fans when he ran onto the field, but shortly afterwards when he started making catches..they cheered him again.

His good standing with the team didn't last very long however, last wednesday, he was kicked out of camp and told not to come back for a week by head coach Andy Reid. When asked to comment on it, he said it was an in-house issue, taht is going to stay in-house.

T.O. however, chose to comment. He said Andy Reid told him to "shut up" during a practice, and "being a grown man" he wasn't going to take it. He followed it up by telling Andy Reid to shut up, which led to a small arguement. Reid later brought him into his office and told him that this sort of attitude isn't going to cut it. When T.O. responded negatively and acted as though he didn't need the team...Andy Reid sent him home. The Eagles are not calling it a suspension, because then it would create issues with the league and proper protocal for such a punishment.

It was then later reported, that the night before the incedent..T.O. and his offensive cordinator had also had a skirmish. When approached about fixing a play..T.O. said "I don't need to hear it, don't speak to me unless I speak to you first" He later stated that he listens to his reciever coach..and doesn't need the O.C.

That, contrary to prior accounment, was NOT the reason he was sent home...but in many people's mind definintely contributed to it.

On his relationship with McNabb, T.O. assured that they didn't need to talk to get along. He also mentioned that McNabb had his [McNabb's] brother call T.O. in order to set up a meeting where they could talk.

It was this that broke McNabb's silence in the media. McNabb was gracious and very humerous in his interview (side note: I love listening and watching him do interviews...he IS hilarious) and also noted that T.O. and him can take care of bisuness on the field without being friendly or even having any conversation at all, even saying "I'll just tell the reciever coach something that I need T.O. to know if he persists with this" He also said that the remark about his brother was completely untrue..and that he doesn't want him or his family mentioned at all in T.O's problems...because they have nothing to do with it.

T.O. was seen leaving N.J. (where the Eagles are holding camp for right now) reportedly to his home in Atlanta. T.O. said he plans to return to camp on Wednesday. Andy Reid said he plans to sit down with T.O. and try and resolve all issues they have.

It would cripple the Eagles, salary wise, to trade or cut T.O. so resolving the issue is the best bet.

The whole drama stemmed from T.O. wanting more money before the offseaon camp started, and the Eagles not negotiating with him.

Which leads to the questions..

Would it have been worth it just to pay him the money?

Can this be resolved?

and Who's side are you taking?

Damn Son...

I can see both sides...So in order to answer the question, the only thing that needs to be asked is T.O. worth the money he was asking...He is widely considered to be the best reciever in the league...If the Eagles had the money to pay him, why wouldn't they..?

TO's attitude is legendary, like the fickle Philly fans...I am sure they could have given him the contract he wanted with incentives...Like...Stay your bitch ass healthy...

On the other hand, TO is not the entire team...Kinda makes you want to say fuck you, and go on about your business...Like Tampa Bay did Keyshawn...I say do whatever Donovan feels is best...He is their best player and team leader...He is well spoken and respectful...And, he is the one in the best position to evaluate TO's worth...

But its not his job...or position to make that decision...He even critized Brett Favre for speaking out against Javon Walker, which was bold, because no one is allowed to critized Brett.

But, the question was opinonated........what would YOU do if you were head of the Eagles organization?

I say that about Donovan, because many star athletes have at least a voice...They are players, not slaves...You are right, it is not his decision, but it would be foul to not consult him, don't you think..? You don't agree to build your franchise around a guy, especially a guy that is worth it, and not see if he is worth the trouble...

If I were the Eagles, I would do what I said, and to be more clear, I would consult the people that would be dealing with him the most...The players...Namely Andy Reid and Donovan...If they feel they can work things out, and not cause a drift in the locker room, I'm with it...

I couldn't be the head of the organization behaving like I knew everything, I would research the issue and react to the majority decision, as so long as it respected any financial and management responsibilities...Pride is one thing, winning is another...I would try my best not to confuse the two...

Man...I forgot to make a thread on this...I'm glad you did.

If I was the organization I'd let him sit out for a year without pay. See how he likes that. He's under a contract which he signed and he's gonna either play for it or not play at all.

I'm taking management's side..TO's gotta learn some respect

But...you gave away Freddie Mitchell....and you lose Pinkston to injury.

You're whole recieveing core without T.O. consists of players who've caught a total of 12 passes...combined....in their careers.

Well then, that means pay the man, LoL...

But, then again, for them to be effective, they do need somebody else on the other side of the field, or having T.O. is pretty worthless...Still, he's fun to watch...

But I wouldn't give in to him. I still wouldn't pay him. McNabb is a great quarterback and would make those receivers better even if they hadn't caught many passes.

The NFC won't be as horrible as they were last year, so even with T.O. it's no guarantee that they'll even get back to the Super Bowl. The person who's hurt themselves the most is T.O., because I can't think of another team who is only a wide receiver away from making the Super Bowl, so no one is gonna dish out the money he wants to sign him. I doubt he'll sitout the year so I think he'll end up playing but miserable. His ego will be hurt more than anything, because the front office will have won.
