Thanks Dee. It's good to be reminded that our troops over there are just normal guys and gals who often try to find just a piece of sanity in an insane area. One of my nephews is over there right now on his 3rd tour. His brother was just sent over as well right out of boot.

Thats true. Those are normal people out there fighting for their survival along with the pride of their country as well as an intention to make peoples lives better. Big ups to those who are there as well as their families as well for going through the struggle.

They are great pics indeed, unfortunately their leaders have to send them to kill and get killed instead on sending them as humanitary help.

Fapper,

the Kurds needed the kind of humanitarian respect that allows them to not be systematically wiped off the face of the earth. that often involves guns.- SINCE 1928.

the kuwaiti needed the kind of humanitarian respect that allows them to grow into a free country, which was only impeded by Iraq's invasion and border policing - SINCE 1961.

The world needed to understand that Saddam Hussein's regime needed to be accountable for its support of fundamental religious and racial terroism and attempted genocide.

Even as people question whether or not the US is wrong, a new Taliban arises in Afghanistan with more sophisticated weapons purchased from iraqi sources among others, with Osama's Bin Laden's money.

But that has nothing to do with these soldiers, who look for some joy, comfort, and comraderie as they perform their duty; men and women who do not find their glory in battle, as you claim. The glory of a soldier is in SERVICE, not BLOODSHED.

*salute from a war-time veteran to my fellow countrymen and servicemen who serve the ideals of this country as much as they serve the leaders.*

vertical,
raum
