Have anyone here watch the video clip Tortura by Shakira ? If yes, can anyone give me an explaination why did she have her body soaked with that black substance ? For me she looks terrible & puke-able.

The "Liquid Darkness" is effectively the visual metaphor for the pain of loss,..rooted in a conflict of wanting someone who loves another. This jealousy is represented as an all encompassing viscuous ichor hanging heavy on all motion, and obscuring all visions of beauty in the wake of the passing of the object of her desire.

And yet there is a undeniable fact that this pain is one of the greatest ways to truly feel the full unbridled power of the heart that beats in every living breast. This is the pain that makes us strong enough to love ourselves...

at least that is my thoughts on the matter, based on her lyrics, and the imagery.
