Being a new boy to all aspects of Forums and general chat I get really lost with the abbreviations.

M8 I can cope with - duhrrrr

What are LOL and LMAO ? Most of my guesses seem to finish up with either something rude or unpronouncable.

Also if there are any others out there that I haven't come across yet it would be nice to have some advance warning.

In return can anyone tell me what my subject header (BOF) means. It is very accurate!!!!

Good topic, and I'm glad you are deciding to grow with us here....I can lay out some familiar ones that I use all the time...Hopefully, they will explain themselves in meaning... /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

LOL - Laugh Out Loud
LMAO - Laugh My Ass Off (There are tons of variations to this, LMFAO, LMMFAO, LMBAO)
ROTFL - Roll on the floor laughing (And for combo points, ROTFLMBAO, etc...)
IMO - In My Opinion
EG - For Example
BRB - Be Right Back
STFU - Shut the fuck up

And, then there is the infamous CDR, which you'll have to discover on your own...It is unique to these forums...I'm sure other have some abbreviations they can share as well...As for what BOF means...Hmm...Beginner of Forums..? /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":lol:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
