Republicans seek vote on Iraq withdrawal proposal
I guess my question is this: Is there one Democrat in Congress who has a solid opinion on Iraq? LOL

That's a good idea, I'm ready to see what the outcome is going to be...That brute force bill that they proposed, man that's a shitload...
I just wonder what the fuck they think is going to happen if we just fucking pull out of the middle east...Just pull the fuck out, whoops, our bad, we'll just leave now...I'd love to hear the opinion of somebody anti war suggest what needs to be done...And then, when they fucking terrorize our soil every six months, we'll see what they say...

it is WAY too late for any kind of withdrawal, certainly for this ridiculous "hit it-quit it" routine, I don't know what this dude hopes to accomplish with this stunt. I understand the concern, coming from a veteran of Viet Nam (assuming that's where this gentleman is basing his views on), but "changing direction in Iraq" could mean a number of things. Afghanistan is still trying to figure out where all the good times went from their last collaborative romp, and still quite moody.
"Our troops have become the primary target of the insurgency," Murtha, said Thursday. "They are united against U.S. forces and we have become a catalyst for violence."
...really? wait a second, what did it say on the "manual for a violence-free mid-east conflict"? NOBODY read that manual?, jeeez, you guys!

I thought that line was a little ridiculous. I mean, who are they going to attack? The Canadians? LOL

Rulers not likely to seek quick exit, administrator says

BAGHDAD, Iraq - The U.S. administrator of Iraq told regional officials Friday that the United States would leave Iraq if requested to do so by the new Iraqi government †™ ¢‚¬„¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¢†™‚¢‚¢¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¬¦‚¡¢‚¬Å¡‚¬†™‚¢‚¢¢¢¬…¡‚¬? although he thinks such a move is unlikely.
L. Paul Bremer told a delegation from Iraq†™ ¢‚¬„¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¢†™‚¢‚¢¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¬¦‚¡¢‚¬Å¡‚¬†™‚¢‚¢¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¬¦‚¾¢‚¬Å¡‚¢s Diyala province that American forces would not stay where they were unwelcome.
†™ ¢‚¬„¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¢†™‚¢‚¢¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¬¦‚¡¢‚¬Å¡‚¬†™¢¢¬‚¦‚¢¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¬¦¢‚¬Å“If the provisional government asks us to leave we will leave,†™ ¢‚¬„¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¢†™‚¢‚¢¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¬¦‚¡¢‚¬Å¡‚¬? Bremer said, referring to an Iraqi administration due to take power June 30. †™ ¢‚¬„¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¢†™‚¢‚¢¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¬¦‚¡¢‚¬Å¡‚¬†™¢¢¬‚¦‚¢¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¬¦¢‚¬Å“I don†™ ¢‚¬„¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¢†™‚¢‚¢¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¬¦‚¡¢‚¬Å¡‚¬†™‚¢‚¢¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¬¦‚¾¢‚¬Å¡‚¢t think that will happen, but obviously we don†™ ¢‚¬„¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¢†™‚¢‚¢¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¬¦‚¡¢‚¬Å¡‚¬†™‚¢‚¢¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¬¦‚¾¢‚¬Å¡‚¢t stay in countries where we†™ ¢‚¬„¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¢†™‚¢‚¢¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¬¦‚¡¢‚¬Å¡‚¬†™‚¢‚¢¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¬¦‚¾¢‚¬Å¡‚¢re not welcome.†™ ¢‚¬„¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¢†™‚¢‚¢¢¢‚¬Å¡‚¬¦‚¡¢‚¬Å¡‚¬?
