Didn't we have a similar discussion on the old board about what constitutes a "sport" and what's just a "game"? I don't consider darts to be a sport any more than horseshoes or bowling.

I think it was actually a little tangent we took on a thread. I know that it didn't last long whether because the interest died or the forum did...

Anyway, back to our regularly scheduled program...

Darts is a classic "pub" sport such as snooker and has recently been given Olmypic Status. World Darts is split between WBO and PDC, so there are effectively two World Championships. The PDC is shown on a subscription channel, so the audience isn't quite as big.

The atmosphere at a darts tournamnet is something else....hundreds of pissed up shouting blokes.....lovely!!!!
