I love Eminem's new song, "When I'm Gone," but the other day I heard that it was actually a farewell to his career. Does anyone know if this is true?

Doubtful he will be done with entertainment period, but I think he's doing his thing as far as sitting back for a while and getting his groups and acts some love...I heard he signed a new artist not too long ago that's supposed to be nice...The mainstream OD'd on him and his antics, and on top of that, I think he really wants to do his family thing for now...I wouldn't be shocked if he was about to fade into the background for a while...

I'm hoping he takes a break because, with the exception of this song, most of his recent stuff has been pretty revolting. Maybe after he spends some time away from the public and the pressure he'll come back sounding like he did around the time of his first LP.

LMFAO..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! @ your disclaimer...Girl, you are hilarious...

His first CD...I'm thinking his best CD was his second one...I liked the 3rd one, but thought it sounded just a little tired (But still bumped it to death) and then the one after that, I never even bothered...So yeah, I think he woudl benefit from a hiatus...

how could this be then end when he has already dropped on two others?

you guys get music dead last there, I guess. Man, on the radio up here, we get crazyee shite, like "Fiddy and Snoop playing in the studio all FUBAR, and they have to damn near sue the station to get them to quit playing it." I mean stuff that ain't even got a name. Turned on one morning and they had Game in the studio talking with the morning crew, and he chose the play list. man, it was all that vital old school west coast.

you heard Nate Dogg and eminem's track? That came out afterwards, and so did every thing he did on Trick Trick's cd,..

Personally, I have heard When I'm gone so many times I can barely stomach it. And after that song, he remarried Kim, and then puts out a song that says "I'm lookin for a slut, hope you don't mind, I told em how you like it from behind." I mean a straight club pouncin beat and nasty mouth.

"I ain't leavin without you bish, You comin home wit me! and my boy.. and his boy.. and his boy,. and his girl!"

vert dogg,
Ch

damn...what a hater....

Eminem is definintely top 5.......he hasn't really been one of the most played rappers recently...its more 50 Cent...Juelz Sanatana.....its moving away from him...so its a good time for him to hang 'em up...do the family thing....go behind the mic for a while.....I'll support him in whatever he does..

I'm curious as to why his music's been going downhill.

Generally, an artist's first few CD's are the worst because it's when they're bound by executives and agents. With Eminem it seems like he's done the opposite and gone more mainstream as his freedom and credibility increased. Hmm...

I don't think he would stop permanently. Too much money involved. Maybe take a break for a few years and then do a comeback.

He's not ending his music career. He wants to concentrate on some acting roles I think, but he's not done. I think the song is about his death and to his daughter about that
