Is Israel headed for another war?

I fear for the Middle East. It seems the Palestinians may have given Hamas a majority in the recent election.
"Asked if Hamas would ever recognize Israel, Zahar replied: "Never.""
That's not going to sit well with a lot of people! The U.S. State Department said it would cut funding if Hamas wins:
"The results of the election were being closely monitored by the United States and European Union, both of which have threatened to cut aid if Hamas becomes part of the government.
The U.S. State Department was blunt.
"We view Hamas as a terrorist organization. We don't deal with Hamas. And under the current circumstances, I don't see that changing," State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said."

see, this is exactly what I predicted,.. Palestine is all to willing to prove me right, and demonstrate they are not ready for the responsibilities of being an independent country in a global society. They are just now learning how to use the power of their vote, and want to give it to someone who takes it away. and, to the common man, damn if this don't seem to help validate the people who say "even then ones not bombing hate us, and want the terrorists' goals, even if they don't fight for them."
at least FINALLY this time, we will cut funding... hopefully. sometimes, you really don't want to be right...

Now CNN's headline says they won a landslide.
I don't get it. I mean, I'm happy that so many people decided to go out and vote, more people should, but seriously now. Why the fuck would you vote in a terrorist group?!?!?! Especially a terrorist group that still refuses to recognize Israel... These people could learn a little something from Iraq. At least they didn't vote in Al-Zawahiri. This shit boggles my mind. I can't see this situation ending in a positive way... especially with Sharon still out of the game...
How will we deal with it???

The peace process will break down becase the State Deparment has Hamas listed as a terrorist group. Israel won't work with them because they're responsible for more attacks than I can count.
It causes a stalemate, and it feuls the fire of anti-Semitism.

That's a complicated question that raum is probably better suited to answer. I'd rather not butcher it. lol I've read a couple books on the conflict, and I still don't fully understand why they hate Israel. At this point, I don't think they even know.

I think you've just said it... it's like a long drawn out feud that no one really remembers the beginning of, they just KNOW they hate each other. Why doesn't matter any more. "You kilt my Pa!" "Welp, you kilt my Pa first!"
Can't we all just get along?!?
