WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The United States has asked the Palestinian Authority to return $50 million in U.S. aid because Washington does not want a Hamas-led government to have the funds, the State Department said on Friday.

You know, I can understand not giving the country funding because of the current government... but to ask Hamas to give back $50 million that was given to the previous government... that just seems a little ridiculous to me. lol

I'm kind of curious how Hamas plans on paying the U.S. back... ain't Palestine like beyond poor... their women are gonna have to do a shitload of pimpin'. lol

The US gave the current admin of pal the money, and wil get it back before hamas takes over. the current admin disaproves of hamas as much as we do. so, they readily agreed to give it back. (but most of it has never been recieved, and is in interim to be given...) its like we revoke their loan before they withdraw it.

then the US will instead supply humanitarian aid instead of funds.

its like giving a poor person food and shelter because you dont trust that they won't use it to fulfil their vices, like destroying israel. the reason why is because if russia does get permission to sell weapons to palestine, you better believe the money supposed to feed their people will be what they use to buy them...
