A new Book out the end of this month confirms the worst kept secret in sports.
If this turns out to be true, should any of his future home-run records not
count?

I think that if the authors' proof holds water (as I suspect it does), all his records from '98 (when he started taking the 'roids) to the present should be tossed out. My personal opinion.

Well......since there were no rules in place specifically banning the use of steroids in Baseball (which there weren't) then you can't throw out the numbers......up until they were a banned substance that is..

Nope, the numbers stay...Everybody with a record has been juicing damn near...The Bash Brothers included...I personally don't think that the juice helps THAT much, there are some rare guys who perform well even at an old age..
Shit, steroids actually help the game, I think everybody should be on them... /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

I think all his stats should be wiped from the records. He's a fake and doesn't deserve any special title.

I've been waiting for this book to come out for a while. You knew that someone would write it...

He's a fake.....lol are you kidding?
It was obvious to me and many others that he started taking steriods...the sheer muscle mass he put on was ridiculous.
However....this guy was a GREAT ball player before he took the steriods. He would have been in the HOF regardless of the huge amount of HR's he's hitting now-days.
Theres no way to tell if other people in the record books have taken steriods....so its not fair to say that Bond's records shouldn't count when other people's will stay.
His reputation is tainted...and thats about all most of us can ask for. He's been a great ballplayer all his life....so I dont want to hear that he sucked and isa fake...and needed to cheat to get stats.
Like I said....his accomplishments will be tainted...if he gets the HR record....people probably wont admire it like they do with Hank's number now. People will always assoicate him with riods....people will always have a mental asterix next to his name....that's all we can ask for.
My brother, being a huge fan of Barry Bonds was less than thrilled when he found out that my accusations all along have been true.
GO KEN GRIFFEY!

I still haven't read a valid reason why his records need to be wiped from the books...Are you guys serious..?

Yeah its dissapointing to know that his records before his roids hold that great of a value but now are shattered in somes eyes, but hey there are records of people using steroids way back in the early 70s? Im pretty sure thats what I heard.
