Culpepper, on injured reserve, Bryant McKinnie, Fred Smoot and Moe Williams each were charged with three misdemeanors for their behavior aboard a boat on Lake Minnetonka, according to court papers.
If convicted, each player faces up to a maximum of 90 days in jail and a $1,000 fine for each count.

I just don't see what the fucking deal is with trumping out charges...They were on a boat...Unless the owner of the boat is making a case of it, what the fuck can they really do other than make a huge, but sensle fuss about it..? I'm not sure what laws were broken, I don't see nobody getting raped, or rumors of child porn and beastiality...The hell kinda charges are those, and do the Minnesota DA's office have NO better case to work on..?

Minnesota is a very conservative State from a sex standpoint. I think the prosecutor had to do something to satisfy all the outraged people. Remember there are up to 36 other people/players not yet named. There is some thought that they are trying to get one of these four guys to provide more evidence against the rest of them.
One other issue is that the Vikings are trying to get some State funding for a new stadium (The Metrodome is probably the worst stadium in the NFL). The Twins are looking for a new stadium as is the local university. This controversy has pushed the Vikes to a distant third in the race for State funding. Amazing how small things become big issues for no good reason.
Minnesota is a very conservative State from a sex standpoint. I think the prosecutor had to do something to satisfy all the outraged people. Remember there are up to 36 other people/players not yet named. There is some thought that they are trying to get one of these four guys to provide more evidence against the rest of them.
One other issue is that the Vikings are trying to get some State funding for a new stadium (The Metrodome is probably the worst stadium in the NFL). The Twins are looking for a new stadium as is the local university. This controversy has pushed the Vikes to a distant third in the race for State funding. Amazing how small things become big issues for no good reason.
