But if they're doing illegal searches and seizures, how is that protecting the Bill of Rights? That's actually breaking the law (bill of rights) to preserve the law. That's like a cop going out and killing a suspected murderer without benefit of a trial. The President is the Executive Branch charged with enforcing the laws (much like a cop). It doesn't do to have him breaking the law he's sworn to protect.

QUOTE(deepdiver32073)It bothers the hell out of me.  This reeks more of Saddam's Iraq than the America I thought we lived in, where we were free from unreasonable searches and seizures (Fourth Amendment).

In Saddam's Iraq you'd be lucky if your phones were tapped before they snatched you in the middle of the night. lol

He didn't actually say that....come on
"If there were no eternal consciousness in a man, if at the bottom of everything there were only a wild ferment, a power that twisting in dark passions produced everything great or inconsequential; if an unfathomable insatiable emptiness lay hid beneath everything, what would life be but despair?"

A, you're far better than forming your opinions on our president based on the fact that "everybody else hates him."

Playing devil's advocate loses its nobility when the stand you take makes no valid contribution to the argument, lol. Give me a list of credible reasons as to why Bush is an able president and beneficial to our country- then I'll take your opinion seriously.

Before Raum goes and makes some amazingly intellectual post about why Bush is a good president, I'd just like to cover my ass by saying that the question I directed at A was so totally retorical, lol.
