I've done some serious thinking on this issue.........these aren't ignorant comments...and I'd like to you consider them before you tell me I'm wrong and have no concept of football...I've played it more recently than anyone on this board...
Okay this is the real deal......White got more carries than Bush because LenDale White is a better running back than Reggie Bush.....that is a true fact, dispute it all you'd like. Bush's problem (being that this is one of the only full games I watched of his) he doesnt follow his blockers.....he takes every single play to the outside and just uses his speed and evasiveness to survive....you can't do that in the NFL......if you can't follow your blockers and go where the play is supposed to go....you wont be able to turn the corner and outrun everyone in the league......you gotta have patience....find the hole...then explode... which is what White does. I mean...thats not to say that everytime Bush touched the ball I wasn't scared he'd score in the open field...but the fact of the matter is he is just using his atheleticism to get himself by at this stage in the game...and I dont know if he'll be as effective when he gets to the NFL..
My main problem with the whole Bush/White being teammates statement is....no one even knew White's name unless they watched a lot of USC football.......everyone said....Leinart and Bush against VY......and yet it was White who came up big....and NOW everyone wants to act like it's 50/50 with those two.... no its not. It became that way once Bush wasn't producing and White was..and that can be contributed to the fact that White went right behind the best O-Line in college football and exploded up the middle for like 8 yards per.....I mean think back to the game and tell me how many times Bush took it up the middle? He cuts everything to the outside and just tries to run past or around everyone...and that works in highscool...that works in college for the most part....but it doesnt in the NFL......I have all the confidence in the world that Bush will learn that quickly and adapt his game.........but the style he's playing right now isn't going to be as effective in the NFL.
about Vince Young.....As I even said in the Heisman thread almost a year ago it seems....if it was decided after the championship....Young would win it...but because its not Bush or Lienart would...and thats the case....now everyone is singing VY's high praises instead of Bush......the man is amazing and I cant wait to see how he plays in the NFL...
back to stats from Ayhja......Young rushed for more yards than Bush and threw for less than Lienart yes...but his total yards were the most in Rose Bowl history......so just because Lienart had a better QB rating really isnt much to brag about...the man is setting records here...and he'll always be remembered for that proformance.
and stop running around talking about that 280 yards all purpose....thats really low considering he's returning punts and kicks as well......
You figure in the NFL the average kick return is roughly 20 yards yes? Texas scored....4 or 5 times if I'm not mistaken....I'll go 4 just so I dont overestimate...so thats 4 kickoffs...... 4 times 20 = 80 yards on kick returns....so now we're down to 200 total yards.......he probably got about 5 punts...and the average punt return i think is like 7 yards or something in the pros...so probably like 10 in college....so thats 50 yards on PR's....down to 150....150 yards catching and running.....VY had more than that in passing AND running yards......... so from the hype he was given (rightfully so) and the fact that he won the heisman SOOOO desicively over VY...and the fact that he's supposedly the best college running back of all time......no...he didn't show up. He made 2 huge plays...one resulted in a touchdown...the other in a fumble...which I'm nto gonna hate on him too much about...it was a STUPID play...but he's trying to make a big play in a big game...cant fault him... Luckily LenDale White came to play otherwise that game would have been a blowout..
Bush will go to the NFL and be good....I think White will be better than him in the NFL...and I think Young will be on of the best players in the league in a year or two or three....

For the record, I have never said you were wrong about anything...Here we go again...
QUOTE(Lost Ghost)White got more carries than Bush because LenDale White is a better running back than Reggie Bush.....
I would go further, but...There's not need to...I have nothing to debate against that kind of logic...If you believe that a back gets more carries...Cause he's better...I can't cope with that kind of logic...Cause in my mind, I have taken into account coaching and tactics...You didn't even mention the fact that coaches may have in mind for Lendale to do one thing, and RB another...Lendale got more carries, sure...
Did it translate into more yards..? Hmm..?
QUOTE(Lost Ghost)and stop running around talking about that 280 yards all purpose....thats really low considering he's returning punts and kicks as well......
Dude, you are so hard to talk to...Most of that stuff you spewed off is pure opinion...And its so far out in left field...You're talking it, like its the gospel, and its not...Every televised game USC played this year, I have watched...Bush is electric in the open field yes...But to say he is a scat back is fiction...I saw him with my own two eyes run up the gut and break long runs...Dude, you don't average 8 yards a damn carry being one dimensional...
** Sigh **
Reggie Bush led the NATION this year with 217.9 all purpose yards...So, if the 280 he got in the game is low, what the hell is high..?
Again most of that nonsense you talk is just rubble...Haven't seen once where you mentioned that Lendale White failed to get 2 inches to seal the game...You remember, 4th and inches, they went for it..? Had the game w/2 minutes left..? Right...Yet, RB was fucking up so bad and When it got time to seal up that gut, Lendale went nowhere...And I am not taking anything from Lendale, shit, that's my dude, but you not gonna sit back and act like this ain't a team sport...Dude, w/o Reggie Bush, USC wouldn't even have made the title game...
Reggie didn't show up to play just like Walter Payton didn't in the 1985 Superbowl, according to you.......

That's cause you don't say anything that makes sense...If I wanted to read a bias opinion, I'd create and read my own...
I can read...And when I do, I read you talking about how RB's 280 AP yards are low, when I know thats 60 yards over his nation leading average...
I ready you saying, "no one even knew White's name unless they watched a lot of USC football," when I'm reading recent articles on Lendale White in ESPN magzine...Dude is off the hook, his name stays in the news...Nobody hardly mentioned RB without Lendale...Anyone watching USC games knows the two are close, and don't envy one another...They nicknamed them, "Thunder and Lightning"...Now how the hell do you get name like that if they just all on RB...
Do you know how much more concentration it takes to catch a kick...A punt...A pass..? Have you ever done anything of those things..? NOPE, I can answer that for you...That's why you have no respect for RB's all around game, but yet, you talk like you've done it...From reading what you say, someone would think you're a prep superstar...
And then there's shit like, ".but the fact of the matter is he is just using his atheleticism to get himself by at this stage in the game,"...That left me speechless...Cause I KNOW you haven't watched all of USC's games...Haven't read a single scouting report...You've done NONE of the things that would at least be expected to make that kind of claim...It's all just what you think, and that's fine, but you're throwing shit up in the air nobody wants to catch...
Watch and see...

I'm not a news reporter.....in fact...since when did this site look down on bias'd opinions? If i was bias in the other way...and agreeing with you....it'd be fine......
its whatever...im done arguing with you on anything....its pointless.... nothing of mine is ever even considered.... and also...since when was it a requirement to have done it better than the person you're talking about in order to gain the right to say whether it was good or bad?.... I'm a bad singer....but I know if someone is a good or a bad singer....I got ears .... why am I not allowed to have an opinion on someone just because I'm not a "prep superstar".....shit...thinking that way puts TONS of columnists out of jobs....

Nothing of yours is ever considered...Cause that's all it is...Yours...Heavily biased, and usually negative opinions...Doesn't have to be based on anything...You think cause the simple fact that you said it, its right, and don't even expect a rebuttal...You think it makes perfect sense to say things simply based on what you believe for whatever reason, and then attack with it...Maybe its your semantics...But I distincly remember you accusing several members of making ignornat statements, when you consistently make statements that can't be validated in any way, or by any other person, except yourself...
Either way, that's not how it goes down for me...Shit, I don't need you or nobody to agree with me if you are going to do so pointlessly...If you don't like Reggie Bush, just say you don't like Reggie Bush...Say you think he's overhyped...You leave it at that, and all is well...The problem starts when you fly off with reason to feel that way, and they make no sense...I just don't like Emmitt Smith...Yes he got in the NFL and did his thing...I don't care...I respect him, but I don't have to like him...
Boom...That's it...A bias opinion, and a clean break...Not some I don't like Emmitt Smith cause he only averaged 3.8 ypc, and with that offensive line he had, it should have been 4.8 ypc, etc...That's nonsense..
Aemeth said RB is going to be top 5...I didn't agree with it persay, but lacked the proper repsonse to refute it...To make a long story short, I shut the fuck up about it...There is a lesson to be learned here...
If I say Jim Brown is the best fucking running back ever, you best believe I'm saying it cause I've either seen it, or studied it...And you can disagree, that's fine, but don't just say Walter Payton is the best cause you a Bears fan...
Either you know what the fuck you're talking about, or you don't...You don't just fly out and make bogus claims, and then complain when someone calls your bullshit...It is not even an argument or a debate, when you insist on saying things that cannot be validated...At all...

I'm allowed to think something....but not allowed to be able to think something becasue of how i feel about something.....im done aruging with you in any thread.....have fun when everyone agrees...lets see if any post gets more than a page..

LMAO...You think I'm trying to get people to agree w/me..? Dooooooode...I'm a grown man...I validate myself...If you re-read the first part of the thread, you'll see that I didn't agree w/B-Diddy (about Emmitt Smith)...But he presented his shit clean, and it made sense...I was able to see his POV...This is how grown me talk, you see..?
Shit...Somebody get me a tissue...
Ahh, FUCK I think he's pouting..! LG...Are you pouting..? And these sheets are wet...Are you serious Homez..? Or you just planning on editing your threads..?
What part of, "You say bogus shit," is being misunderstood..?
Dude, not that it needs validation, but damn, I'm not the only one thinking this shit...
Nobody would say shit about your opinions if you gave them with some class...How do you look...Calling somebody else ignorant, when you make STATEMENT after STATEMENT of bullshit..??? Pure-dee, stankin' ass shit...Sexy ass Lost Ghost quotables...This is the first shit you said:
Hmm.....I think this guy isn't as good as people think...
http://www.ayhja.com/af/viewtopic.php?p=97989#97989
And then your ass turned right around and said this a few posts down:
I said RB is good and is doing his thing...and I said that He has all the tools to succeed in the NFL....
http://www.ayhja.com/af/viewtopic.php?p=102129#102129
And then you say we can't read, callin' us ignorant and shit...Well damn Homez, I guess not if you say one thing, and then turn around and say some other shit...Read the fucking posts man, its all there...Now you tell me how I'm being irrational, you go from Reggie just "looks" faster than everybody else, to "Cmon guys, I said he was great..!"
Reggie Bush isn't the reason USC has gone undefeated...
Yes he is..!!!! Illegal Bush push at Notre Dame wins the game...Now do the typical LG thing and call him a cheat...
You are the undisputed king of AF BULLSHIT...As I've shown in the other thread with the amazing "Vick and Young had comprable stats" statement you made, you don't know shit about sports...At least not football...Can dish it, but takig it requires lots of lube and at least 2 fingers in...But hey, your basketball mind is unmatched thus far, right..? So maybe you'll catch me there...
Your handling of others is downright brutal...So, I thought that's how you like it...Hard nosed, pinpoint discussion...No pansies here...First he's good, then he's bad, then its the line, and then he's a scrub to Lendale...Such an emotional, feminine sports POV...You can't even form a solid opinion...It's like asking my wife how she wants me to lay her...At least she does setttle down and take the dick tho...
But I see you hit the bitch button and tapped out, so I'll leave you alone, and just let you say ridiculous shit from here on out...
Shit...Somebody get me a tissue...

[font=Arial:0ba0657caf]Reggie Bush decides to turn pro [/font:0ba0657caf]
By KEN PETERS, AP Sports Writer
January 12, 2006
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Reggie Bush is skipping his senior season at Southern California to enter the NFL draft.
The Heisman Trophy winner made the expected announcement Thursday, a day after running mate LenDale White made his decision to leave early and turn pro.
Bush is expected to be one of the first players taken in the draft -- with many projecting him going to the Houston Texans with the No. 1 pick.
The electrifying running back had 1,740 yards rushing and 2,890 all-purpose yards this season for the Trojans, who fell short of an unprecedented third national title when they lost 41-38 to Texas in the Rose Bowl last week.
"It's a happy day, I don't think it's a sad time," Bush said at a campus news conference. "It was tough. ... You want to please everybody. You want to return for your senior season."
Wherever Bush winds up in the draft, he'll become a rich man.
Bush, who turns 21 in March, has flashed such blinding speed, great moves and an uncanny ability to change direction that he's been compared to such greats as Gale Sayers, Barry Sanders, Tony Dorsett and Marshall Faulk.
Bush, a 6-foot, 200-pounder from Spring Valley, Calif., averaged an amazing 8.7 yards per carry. He also caught 37 passes for 478 yards and led the nation in all-purpose yards with 222.3 per game.
Bush was a runaway winner of the Heisman, with Texas quarterback Vince Young far back in second place. Matt Leinart, Bush's teammate the past three years and the 2004 Heisman winner, was third. Those players figure to go 1-2-3 in the NFL draft on April 29.
The Texans, though, already have a young quarterback in David Carr so they could opt for Bush and pass on a hometown hero. Houston has 3 1/2 months to make a decision.
Had Bush stayed in school, he would have had a chance to join Ohio State running back Archie Griffin as the only two-time Heisman winners. Griffin won the award in 1974-75.
After winning his Heisman, Leinart decided to return to USC for his senior year although he almost surely would have been among the top players picked in last April's draft.
As a quarterback, Leinart was in a far different situation than Bush, since running backs are such a target, with even the best at risk every time they carry the ball. On average, standout running backs have far shorter pro careers than top quarterbacks.
Bush came to USC as one of the most highly recruited prep players in the country. He shared the tailback position for three years with White, and the two combined for 99 career touchdowns, breaking the NCAA record of 97 set by Army's Glenn Davis and Felix "Doc" Blanchard from 1943-46.
Bush represented the "Lightning" to White's "Thunder" at USC. Bush rushed for 3,169 yards and White 3,159, helping the Trojans go 37-2. They had won 34 straight before losing to Texas.
White, a 6-2, 235-pounder from Denver who turned 21 last month, rushed for 124 yards and three touchdowns in the Rose Bowl, probably improving his standing with NFL scouts. He scored a school-record 57 career touchdowns.
