LG asked me to support why I thought the Bears were an overated team, so.......here goes...
The ranked 28th in the NFL in Total Offense.......two positions worse than the Detroit Lions......
Their QB rated dead last in the NFL.....
Their Defense was spectacular but when they needed to be their best and when it counted, they gave up close to 450 yeards of total offense.
7 of their 11 wins came against the Lions, Packers, 49ers, Saints and Ravens who had a combined record of 21-68 and two (2) other wins came against the Vikings when they were 1-3 and against the Falcons who we all know is a farce...
They had two (2) quality wins all year, once agains the Panthers and once against the Bucs, other than that......they didn't play anyone worth a shit. They benefitted from playing in the weakest division in the NFL.
Not going to get into a big diatribe, I just made a comment, but would love for you to tell me why you think they were so good.

So....you tell me that Reggie Bush isn't overrated becasue he can't control who he plays....but the Bears are overrated becasue of who they play?
Everyone knows their offense is shitty......in fact....I'm interested in finding out WHO was rating them highly?
Everyone was saying they were gonna get killed by the Panthers...because of the reasons you listed...and it sure is easy to call their defense overated after their worst game of the year.....1 bad game doesnt make a defense overated.
so.....they're defense isn't overated....and their QB and offense..and their division was all admittingly terrible..... so whats your point?

Your facts are that the bears suck on offense......in order for a team to be overrated...some people would actually have to say that their offense is good...and it not be.
No one is saying their offense is good...everyone says it sucks....so by you giving stats on how it sucks...does not prove in any way shape or form that they are an overrated team...it just further proves an already known fact...
their defense on the other hand....played bad in one game....
So...after the Patriots getting beat down in one game by the Broncos...I bet you're gonna tell me that they suck too and that they're overated..... who cares they won 10 in a row....... and who cares that the Bears D was incredible for 16 games this season.....

okay...the Ravens have a great defense...and everyone knows it...........and this is the same situation as saying "the Ravens are overrated...and you know why....because Kyle Boller is a terrible QB".....well....we know they have a shitty QB....the reason they are touted as a good team is because of their defense...not because of their QB...
so how do you back up the fact that the Bears are overrated...when what they are rated highly for is their defense...by giving me stats on how bad their offense is?

It's like saying Duke is overrated because their PG doesn't rank the top in the league in any category....the reason they are rated highly is because of J.J. Reddick and Sheldon Williams....telling me their point gaurd sucks is no way diminishes the fact that their a good team....because their PG isn't what makes them a good team
