here's another, less about US troops,.. more about casualties totals as varied in reports and findings.

http://www.iraqbodycount.org/database/index.php

this site is severely less reliable, as it simply captures reports made by others.

this says more about the media, than the war.

wow sad to actually see all the names
"If there were no eternal consciousness in a man, if at the bottom of everything there were only a wild ferment, a power that twisting in dark passions produced everything great or inconsequential; if an unfathomable insatiable emptiness lay hid beneath everything, what would life be but despair?"

I wouldn't trust "how they died" at all. Look at Pat Tillman. First they said he died in a battle with the enemy and that he was killed by enemy fire. Then they changed it to that he was blown away by a trigger happy idiot on a .50 cal machine gun. The government lies...all the time.

Yes, there are lies. Lots of them, but that does not mean that people do not die there.

I just wish they would not do all those fake stories. It just disgraces those that have had real losses. Makes me sick.

It's a disgrace that they have to die for oil and power. Why do so many die for what a few men want? Why can't they fight their own battles? Why can't Bush and Saddam just have slugged it out like real men instead of sending armies into battle to slaughter each other?

I take into consideration the mutable nature of media truth, all the time.

these numbers are from notices by the DOD, if you look down, you will see that.

These are the administrative reasons in the DOD personnel registry, not FOX News soldier of the hour reports.

This says as much as about the data processing, archival and provision capacities of the US Dept of Defense, as it is does about how many Servicemen we are losing.
