Ok Fucktard, I'm going to explain this to you real slooowww.....

One reason the Steelers are favored is......well....they've played and won games against teams that could be thought of as tougher opponents than those the Seahawks have played and Pittsburg has done it on the road.

Your turn......

The Seahawks have a better record...are a number 1 seed...and haven't played badly yet in the playoffs.....so how do they lose any favor oncesoever? I can understand how people now think the Steelers are a capable oppentent...but since when does 1 vs 6...when both teams have shown they are capable of playing at a superbowl level....favor the number 6?

Let's see...you wanna talk about "beatin' better teams?"

As I recall....you're the one talking about "they can't chose their competition"

But.....Steelers beat Bengals...Colts and Broncos...... the Seahawks played the Colts and beat them....

The Steelers never played the Redskins or Carolina...and the Seahawks never played the Bengals or the Broncos...

The Seahawks had a better regular season record, they have the league MVP...they have a defense with the most sacks in the NFL...and the best O-Line in football.......

what do the Steelers got that would make them the obvious favorites...??

They've got a better Defense. Seattle's D is too young and inexperienced for the Super Bowl. Most of the Steelers D were in the playoffs last year and are more mature to handle the big games. I've been surprised by how well the Seahawks D has done, but Steelers are better.

I also feel that Big Ben is better than Hassleback. He's led some huge comebacks and is cool in close games. He's only thrown 5 interceptions this year I think.

First off.....you don't crush everyone in the playoffs on defense and force the highest rated QB in the playoffs (Delhome) into throwing all these interceptions if you're defense isn't capable of playing in big games...they've shown already they can play in big games.....you can make the same case agains the Steelers....they played in the big games last yaer....but lost.....so how does it give them credit over the Seahawks D?

and as I've mentioned...they led the NFL in sacks....the Steelers do anything that high statistically?

Ben threw 9 interceptions in the regular season... which is the same as Hassleback...

Hassleback had a higher completion percentage...and threw for more than 1000 yards more than Big Ben...

and we all know that Shaun Alexander is the best RB in the league...and if not..at least he's better tahn Bettis....

So....again.....someone PLEASE tell me why the Steelers are the obvious favorites?

lmao Raum!!!! That was hilarious!

I would love for the Seahawks to win just because they are my local team, but I don't think they can match up with the Steelers.

LG, you said that you could have said the same thing about the Steelers last year and I did. This year they are more experienced and that's why they are better

Football is all about matchups...Thus this...LG...As I understand it, the Steelers are favored to win...By experts and people that are paid to study stats and all that...If stats were all there were to it, I'm sure that the Seahawks would be favored by a landslide, right..? It's any given Sunday to me...

So, what really needs to be going on, is you maybe finding out why you're in the minority instead of the other way around...I'll help you...

As Deepdiver pointed out...The Jags kicked BOTH the Steelers and the Seahawks asses...And I do believe they are at home right now...This is a heavyweight fight Homez, we have a boxer and a slugger...NFL football, more so than NCAA, is about Matchups....So, lets talk...

I missed in your little write up how the Seahawks lost to the Pack, and the Pack got beat down by the Steelers...And that despite missing 4 games (thus the 1,000 yards differential) Ben still has a slightly higher passer rating...

Furthermore, In these playoffs, the regualar season is over my friend, Ben's numbers DWARF Hasselbeck's...

And your best runningback..? Has 4 more yards than Bettis in the playoffs...And that's splitting time with Willie Parker, who is right behind Bettis on the the list...

Them sacks you talking about..? Pittsburg has 3 of the top 5 leaders in the post season...Seattle has none...And I can definitely make the argument stick that Pittsburg has the most dominant and physical offensive line in football...

Yeah, I can talk stats...My stats say Pittsburg is the hottest team between the two, and they're playing lights out...They have gotten to the Superbowl by the hardest route possible, beating the top three seeds from the AFC...And they did it on the road...In consecutive weeks, and each win more impresive than the last...

Steelers 26
Seahawks 14

Well....Steelers played one more game than the Seahawks....so it would make sense as to how they could dominate the numbers of the Seatle players...

I got no problem with people wanting the Steelers to win....I just dont get what the Seahawks have possibly done wrong to always be the underdog?

They've played like...mistake free all year man....they've been playing great football....they got the league MVP..a good, young defense...a hot QB...and the best O-Line in football.....but they're always being doubted...

When the Seahawks gonna get some love man?

The Seahawks are a traditionally bad team...I do believe this is their first Superbowl...They will get some love if they win the SB, but not before...

And youth vs experience in big games...You side with youth, eh..? /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
