Finally I found an easy to use DVD ripper that works great! You can even pick the size of the output file. Simply load the "01.ifo" file from your dvd. I ripped a 3.6 gb dvd in 4 and a half hours so its not super fast but it works great. Even has audio! I do suggest reading the tutorial on the site, or at least look at the pictures. It took me a couple trys but it wasnt that hard to figure out. Heres the link... its free.
DVD Ripper
Even includes and installs codecs.

Yes, you have multiple choices for output formats. AVI, MPEG, etc.

The best (and easiest) DVD ripper to use is Gordian Knot. That's if you want to convert it to AVI. I use DVD Shrink to compress DVDs to burn to DVD+R. Good old BlockBuster and I have been going crazy for years now. I think I have like 10 CD wallets full of 50 DVDs each. Right now I'm working on getting the entire Sopranos collection.
If any links are down, please send me a PM!

That's what this is... Gordian Knot. I'll have to check out the DVD Shrink too.

DVD Shrink is the shit...

But I have been looking for a good DVD to AVI converter...I downloaded a DVD quality version of The Transporter the other day, and I've been wanting to check out one...At the strangest times, I get the urge to watch lightsaber battles and shit, and don't like going into my COMPLETE Star Wars collection and plucking out DVD's...I used to do these types of conversions all the time, and and pretty experienced with codecs, but I am rusty on whole...I'll be sure to try out these proggies...
