Anybody a fan of Transformer cartoons? I'm talking about the original series in particular.
The one where the transformers crashed on Earth and Autobots imprinted their form on automobiles
and the decepticons on military craft.
Kinda geeky now I suppose (to some), but it was pretty cool in the eighties...

Loved the cartoon, and was 2 shakes away from renting the movie Sunday...In fact, I think that I am going to since you mentioned it...I can remember when Transformers were the absolute coolest toys in the world to have...In fact, compared to now, man, toys were awesome...I had Transformers, M.A.S.K. toys, GI Joe joints, and even them little pink men called MUSCLES... /:D" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt=":D" />

LOL, it's so cool to know there are other fans out there. In fact I must confess my geekdom to say
I still have many of transformer toys in their original packaging stashed somewhere.
And yes, the movie was good. Still remember Unicron, Cyclonus and Grimlock... Ah, good memories... /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Do you this site? It's about the cartoons.

Hope you enjoy.
In France the toys had more success than the cartoons.

I loved the Transformers as a toy set and I would watch the Transformers in a minute if I was drawing or if I wanted some situational action that has some great sound effects (everyday), but aways preferred ROBOTECH. That show was about more than toys.
In fact, I have the entire 85 episode "Proto-Culture" edition of all four series. There is little warfare on screen, animated or live action, that is more sophisticated and revolving around such richly developed characters.
And yes, I have seen Macross, and Genesis Climber Mospeada, but NOTHING compares to Robotech. I used to mediate daily upon what kind of courage it must have taken to fight a 40 ft tall zentraedi. I used to sit and read every book on the subject.
I can probably remember 80% of it.
I am a big anime nut, and have logged thousands of hours watching it. in fact, I have watched three new series in their entirety since a week last Thursday (ChronoCrusade *EXCELLENT*, Those who hunt elves (Seasons I and II), Aquarian Age.
In fact, my girl JUST last week decided it has grown on her, and is watching along with me nonstop.
Currently watching right now:
Kyo Kara Maoh! (God Save our King!)
In the Que:
DN-Angel : Complete Series
Knight Hunters (Weiss Kreuz)
Revolutionary Girl: UTENA (*The mother of all Qabalistic symbolism*)
Aquarian Age: The Motion Picture
I also have Trigun on the way to my home, with Slayers (all five movies),and Rune soldier: complete series.
I had never seen more than a few minutes of Neon Genesis Evangalion, but after a few studies, i might have to rent that. Not worth owning, if you ask me.
GoDannar! (Marriage of Man Woman and Machine) is a different story entirely, and I can't wait until the whole series is released.

Are you kidding me. I was a huge fan as a kid untill they destroyed a good thing. Gen 1 was great, but than they killed
them all off in the first movie, and turned them into a bunch of space ships.
I got rid of a bunch of them eventially, which was a big mistake. Apparently they're worth a little bit
of coin now.
And to reply to Rimfire, yes, I am a dork.

Yeah the Transformers were awesome to watch when I was a kid. Most of the kids cartoons suck now. Granted they have better toys now than what we did but no comparison on the 'toons.
