I would also recommend disabling the real time protection features no matter what software package you go with. 2-3x per week system scans performed overnight and common sense will be plenty effective and you will regain the huge performance hit that the "real time" protection usually provides.

Yea...I used to have Norton's and I got tons of bugs on my computer. Now with AVG I dont' have any problems

NOD32 is my favorite at the moment.

It's not a resource hog and not as intrusive as Norton.

Just trying to find out why you guys think NOD32 is not as good as others.

If I get good reasons I'll switch.

I don't spend inordinate amounts of time researching security software.

I remember that last time I ran Norton my computer was a hog. As soon as I removed it and installed NOD32, my computer speeded up back to normal and I detected new threats.

Well, I do agree with you that norton is fucked.. but NOD32 barely detects anything for me..
And the fact that (well, last time I checked - about a year ago, LoL) it costs money, and avast! and AVG are free..well..

Is NOD32 free now..?

(oh, and Dee, thanks for backin me up..)
