[Review]Lucky Number Slevin

Post by trashtalkr »

So I went to go see this yesterday and it was very interesting. Definately not what I expected. Leaving the theater I thought I didn't like it but now, looking back, I think it was very good. It's got one of those great twists in it that you wouldn't expect

3.5 out of 5

Here is a quick plot of the story:

A case of mistaken identity lands Slevin (Josh Hartnett) into the middle of a war being plotted by two of the city's most rival crime bosses: The Rabbi (Ben Kingsley) and The Boss (Morgan Freeman). Slevin is under constant surveillance by relentless Detective Brikowski (Stanley Tucci) as well as the infamous assassin Goodkat (Bruce Willis) and finds himself having to hatch his own ingenious plot to get them before they get him.
"If there were no eternal consciousness in a man, if at the bottom of everything there were only a wild ferment, a power that twisting in dark passions produced everything great or inconsequential; if an unfathomable insatiable emptiness lay hid beneath everything, what would life be but despair?"

Soren Kierkegaard

Dude, Dizzle posted a download for this. lol I watched it the other night. I thought it was pretty good. It was different. All the movies coming out seem to be written by the same guy or something. lol So, I thought this movie was refreshing.

I saw it a week back and I too thought it was pretty good.

Pretty good action to it and plot was pretty interesting.

But then again maybe I thought it was ok because I didn't pay for it... /:D" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt=":D" />

Anyways here's the movie if anybody's interested....

Wow Pete....that's a long time.

Diz, do you take a video camera into the theatres or something? How do you get those new movies already?
