I'm stuck on flash MX - 2004. Is any of this going to be helpful to me?

if you are still using MX 2004, some of it will not even be available to use, and some of the AS2 operators will not compile.

Are these for Flash 8 or Flash 8 Pro? These behave quite differently, and it would be counterproductive to use, if you do not have the right version. You would either be dumbing down your projects to "basic" and cumbersome standards, or learning to develop outside the capacity of your development environment.
