Long Distance Relationship, Why?
I know that this is A's prefered type of relationship. I'm just wondering why one would choose this kind of relationship over a normal kind of relationship?

It's not necessarily the "chosen" type....sometimes you just click with a person and it goes from there?
Why force a relationship with people you see everyday when the chemistry is only with that one person who you get emails from every night?
If you enjoy talking to that person and feel a strong connection with them, the type that you dont with anyone else...then why not?

I believe that long distance relationships only work when you've known the person very well when you were close. And like LG said, it's not "chosen" but if you felt that chemistry when you were close then why not try it when you're apart.
This is a very hard type of relationship but can work out

I like long distance relationships, sometimes (and very few times) I found very special people that since the 1998 I always hear with chat or letters, or e-mail....
But it's VERY VERY difficult to try to keep this relationships works...
Because, when you don't hear your friend for long time, you get worried, and you can't go an his/her house to ask what's happend...
so, better the normal relationships, but in special case, long distance relationships isn't so bad

I've just always been able to sustain a long distance relationship, but only when you are able to close the gaps...Not to sound cocky, but when I start dating a girl, they get clingy...When I used to meet them, what attacted me to them was they had things to do...Going to the gym, class assingments, meetings, etc...And then, once I laid it down, that shit seems to stop, and all of a sudden there was bitching about my schedule...And I'm like WTF happened to you going to the YMCA..?!?!?!? LoL...You can't hang w/your friends, all of a sudden all of her friends will fucking vanish, and its all you, all the time...That can be fucking frustrating, and take the newness out of any relationship...
My college sweetheart and I made it through about 3 years of 8-9 hour distance...But I got to see her quite often, and we talked on the phone everyday...In my eyes, that shit was ideal..! I got to keep my space, do what I want, and kept my trophy, whom if I had $100, I could drive to see without packing a shitload of clothes...
Even now, I miss that space...I love my family, but sometimes, when I want to go somewhere and be alone, they like, "Family Trip" and my question, "I wonder if you guys ever get tired of seeing my fucking face sometimes," is immediately answered...
I like my space Homez...I think all non-clingy types do...I liked being able to have fun without somebody telling my girl they saw me doing this and that...We missed so much petty bullshit by being in a LD relationship...You don't realize how much garbabe other people will fling your way...
When you're in a LD relationship, everytime you see each other, its focused relationship time...You missed that person...So when you were around them, you wanted to hold them, love them...Not fight and bicker...Of course that can also be the achilles heel, as 3 years of LD relationship bliss doesn't always mean happily ever after...Throw in some extended live in periods and you'll get the picture...For the time and the period, a LD relationship was ideal...Not so ideal otherwise I guess, but I can make anything work to my advantage...

Agreed completly. I guess it all just depends on the how the person can handle it all.

I can understand that. I'm an extremely private person, and I need my space. I get fucking rude if people try to talk to me when I'm not in the mood to talk. lol
On the other hand... I couldn't talk on the phone everyday. I don't know why, but I HATE using the phone. lol
