Subtitles in WMP

#1

Post by Mandizzle »

I'm using Windows Media Player 11 and i'm wondering how I go about loading up subtitles for movies. I can get them for DVDs but no idea how to load them for downloaded movie files (.avi).

I know for VLC player I can just specify the .srt subtitle file and it works but I can't find that anywhere on WLM.

Anybody know how to get this working?

Thanks in advance.

Uh, I believe you have to manually add them as metadata information to AVIs..
Right click the video in the playlist, click Advanced Tag Editor, and it should be on the subtitles tag somewhere..

Otherwise, just use some DVD player software to view the AVI, and get it to read the subtitles too..(maybe?)

i can't find any options for Advanced Tag Editor or anything like that... and you know what it seems like too much work to add metadata info or what not..

once again VLC wins .....
